The great pilot

It had been twenty minutes since Koji left me.  I was getting really stressed thinking why they are taking so long.

I stood like an idiot in the middle of a hallway, staring at a wall infront of me.
What was wrong with me that moment, why the hell did I jump inside that TIE fighter,  I knew I will get in trouble, so why then be nervous now if i knew what was coming.

The door of the general's office opened and out came a very stressed Koji.

"He wants you in there" he mumbled "Talk to you tomorrow at breakfast " he put his hand on my shoulder " everything will be okay..." he walked off.

Now again, like always I needed to step inside the devils room.
I walk in, biting  my lip ,my head down and rubbing my hands nervously . I didn't 't dare to look up, but I felt his eyes on me.

"I have no idea what to do with you... I could  punish you for flying without permission and I am very mad about that, but on the other hand,  you saved us all."

I lifted my head a little with a spark of hope that he won't shout at me today.

He was lost in though,  his lips pressed tight together  and his eyes were all on me.

" Documents are not your strongest area, but at least now i know that you have actually something that you are good at and you are not completely worthless"

"Thank you sir" I give him a half smile
Finally,  maybe he will give me something new to work with.

"But don't hope to fly a fighter every time you want now " his voice turned more strict. " I will give you permission to fly a fighter during some battles,  but not all. And don't think I have changed my mind about your job. You will be working  completely under my watch, there will be no more incidents like this or any other. You will work here, another computer will be brought for you. I will always know where you are and what you are doing. You will also accompany me to some meetings. ...your work starts tomorrow, be here at 6."

"Yes sir" as always,  i waited for the magical word dismissed

Silence filled the room. Hux leaned back in his chair and stared at the wall behind me, pondering . I know it's weird,  but he seemed human like.

"You know,  I believe you can be a good solider..." that took me by surprise, was he actually talking about me?  "... we just need to work on that. You are not like the others who blindly follow orders and I still don't know if I like that,  but you seem..." he stopped there and looked me in the eyes. A completely new feeling, nothing like anger, disappointment or disgust  was in them, more like... "dismissed.." he said not finishing the sentance which left me wondering what I seemed like to him.

What just happened? I thought to myself, when i got out of there. It felt so weird...or was it nice..goodness  I don't know. I was basically jumping around the whole ship for no reason! My job didn't change, my every move will be watched,  so why the hell am I happy? I couldn't wait to tell everything to Koji.
