If your bold ass is perusing about this journal entry, I hope you survive the little fellas with the pointy hats creeping up on your nosy ass for reading their caretaker's secret diary. And if you do so happen to survive, just know that you'll have to deal with me next; breaking your O-ring wide open with my foot.
I kid. I wouldn't ruin your shitter like that. I'll just chuck you head first from the balcony and watch you plummet into the starry abyss.
Nah. You'll float. There's a giant lake out back.
So, where do I even begin...
Oh! We sort of ended on a wacky note earlier with me trying my hardest to keep the others from realizing that Isbri is an aeon. I had no choice but to shut Fae down. She can be too smart for her own good and if the Vektans were to wise up to that then a whole lot of them would've had an existential crisis or something.
As for my nose... It's fine—in case you're caring about it.
So. We've spent a whole month restoring Aol'Metrelis to its former glory and it surely would've been a callous-fingered bitch to rebuild if not for that shiny thing in the sky deciding that a half a month of us slaving away like a bunch of sweat-back minions singing old spirituals was enough. One night, I was cracking open a few cold ones with the Me'ka and Kanon-ball and all of a sudden that diamond-shaped-rhombus thing lit up like earth realm's 'White Christmas' and a whole lot of space magic started.
Towers returned to the heavens like toy bricks. The streets good as new. Nothing of Phallos rampage remained, and when I tell you that it was like a bad dream receding in the heavenly light of a brand new morning I mean that shit to its every word.
The Vektan data scriptures call it—er, her—Espyr; a goddess or in their words 'Heroine' of Vekta responsible for the White Age, where magic—ahem, the ether spark—was ace-boon-coonin' it up with the mech-city that showed itself supreme here...until Phallos started throbbin' back in the day and the Espyr began her bye-byes by slowly submerging herself into dramatic obscurity. And that's how their Black Age began.
And then we showed up and brought the light back. Now everyone can live happily ever after.
The end.
Not really. Well, not for them.
Due to Espyr's comeback, people started developing magical powers and all of that. Kanon was one of several to feel all kinds of weird and Caellania's quintellis—their queen, in case none of you figured that out by now—started to bloom, too. Latent power? Aethenius and the crew think so. Chip and I keep thinking 'Mythic Scifi' and believe it or not—which you should—it works. But whatever the case may be for the Vektans, it's definitely gonna be an interesting state of affairs with them, people. And we're definitely keeping in touch with them.
They are by all means capable of becoming one with our league.
Any-who, back at the Crux...
That's cue for you to turn the page.
And if you're wondering why none of this with Vekta and their mythic evolution wasn't in some way explained in the expositional pile of narrative and dialogue; don't.
Just don't. This isn't your conventional 'make-believe-rule-constrained' storybook and if you've made it this far—then you must be hot for me.
And my explosive pack of gnomes that I've previously warned you about haven't blew that ass to smithereens, yet.
