Citizens of United States of America. Due to overpopulation individuals will have to be exterminated. Each day people will be chosen randomly. The chosen people will be treated humanly. The extermination will start on January 10, 2019 and end on January 10, 2020. The people left will be the new generation to restart the human species. Also known as Generation X. Thank you and have a nice day.

That message was the only thing displayed on every channel on TV. All of the students and staff were in the gym and a lot of people were gone. Everyone was silent. The room filled with approximately 600 people was so silent, that pin could have been heard.

I was holding Paris tightly. Will she die? Will I die?

"Kendall. We need to find Dom, Colton and Levi." Paris said so softly. Her voice was so shaky and full of fear. I nodded back.

Looking for them was very difficult. Everyone is looking for their friends but the room was silent. Miraculously we found Colton.

"C-colton! You're alive." I say in disbelief. Paris and I hug him tightly. "Where is Levi and Dom?" Colton asks quietly. "What? I thought you were with Dom?" I ask.

Colton takes a breath and says, "The men rushed into the classroom dragged everyone out. By that time I lost Dom. The men shoved the rifles into peoples faces and threatened to shoot the fuck out of them. I got scared. So when they were not looking I sneaked past them into the empty classroom to hide."

Us three were looking so frantically that I unintentionally was shoving people out of the way. I was on the verge of tears and so was Paris. I couldn't imagine how Paris felt. I'm surprised Paris is not in tears already. If I was here then I would have shut down if I knew my lover was dead.

Out of no where I hear, "Guys?"

It was Dom. I was so happy that he survived this day. Paris jumped into his arms and started to cry into his varsity jacket. The tears were tears of joy. That interaction gave me a bit of hope for  Levi.

"Dom. Do you know where Levi is?" I ask. I knew what he was going to reply with but I needed to make sure. "No. I can't find him anywhere." Dom replies.

We all know knew that Levi was taken. I started to feel sick. I ran to the nearest garbage can and threw up. I can't believe that Levi. Our Levi was taken by the fucking government. Dom, Colton, and Paris were saying something to me. I just blurred them out. My mind was racing.

'Levi I don't care about x and the solutions'

'But you need to know to pass math' He chuckled.

I stood up and started to tackle him. We were laughing so much I couldn't breath.

'Levi I'm lucky to have a smart ass like you.'

'And I'm lucky to have stubborn ass like you'

"Kendall? Kendall are you ok?" Paris kept on asking. "L- levi is dead. This can't be." I heard someone repeat over and over again.

I snap back into reality realizing that we are the only ones in the gym left. I assumed that everyone went home to their loved ones to see if they are dead. I already lost a loved one I can't lose more. I can't go home not knowing if my parents are alive or not. What if they are dead and I go home to nothing.

"Kendall?" Paris asked again. "Y- yes." I look up with red puffy eyes at the three of them hovering around me. Their facial expressions were the same like mine.

I saw Colton turn white as paper. He was looking behind me and then he smiled. I turn around.

"Levi!"

The three of us run to the other side of the gym and engulf him in the biggest hug. We all start crying.

"Levi. Where were you?" Dom asks. "Well funny story. I thought people would be in the main gym not the North gym. After sitting there for a while I decided to find out where everyone was. I came here and saw you guys alive. I thought you guys were dead." Levi says while crying from joy.

We sat there on the gym floor. Crying and hugging each other. I started to daze off and thinking if my parents are alive or dead.

Well there is only one way to find out.
