Dan had woken up in such a calm and peaceful mood, but that it didn't stay that way. He remembers about the date today and he is no longer happy, but grumpy. He slips out of bed, tossing his stuffies aside. He stomps down the stairs, his arms crossed as he stands in front of Phil, who's making breakfast. "Hey- what's the matter?" Phil glances at Dan, who only stomps his feet. "Oh- Ohhh!" He comes to realization.

"I'm sorry sugar plum"

Dan isn't in little space anymore, he's in big headspace and he's angry. "Ugh!" He throws his arms up, dragging his feet on the floor. He takes a seat "What am I supposed to do all day in my-". He stops and thinks, before smacking his palms against the table, repeatedly. "Can I go out with Chris???" He asks, hoping for a yes. Phil thinks for a moment. He notices his little is no longer feeling little, but feeling big. "Of course you can" He finally replies. "My parents will expect me to take them out to a fancy dinner anyways".

"Thank you!!!" Dan says happily. He doesn't like the thought of being home alone, so he's better off outside. "You're welcome" Phil smiles. He doesn't mind Dan being with Chris, much. "Thank you for asking first" He says. "You haven't forgotten your manners have you?" He asks. "Course not" Dan replies, settling down. "I just don't like using them sometimes" He admits, playing with his thumbs.

"But when you really want something you use them?"

"Er- well- yeah..."

"Tsk tsk" Phil tuts, shaking his head. "You need to use them when you're asking for anything" He says. "Doesn't matter what it is". "Using your manners will show people that you're polite" He says, turning off the stove. "And that's really good because people will want to be friends with you" He adds. "Now that you have work...using your manners will be useful".

"Mhm-hm"

Dan didn't expect to get a full lecture on manners. He just asked for permission to head out, and that turns into a lecture about being polite. He rolls his eyes, leaning back into his chair. "Okay I get it Phil" Dan says, clearly bored and annoyed. He hates being lectured. "Alright alright, that's just my tip for the day" Phil says, carrying two plates filled with food, over to the table. "I know you're annoyed and grumpy about today" He says, noticing how unhappy Dan looks.

"I feel just the same as you" Phil says, placing the plates down. He sits in front of Dan "I just need to go over a few things so neither of us will act out and give away our secret" He says. Dan plays with his glass of milk, tracing one of his fingers along the cold, wet glass. "Okay" He replies, uninterested, since he won't be home, but he'll listen anyway.

"As unfair and rude as it sounds"

"You'll be introduced as my roommate" Phil says, picking up his fork. "Just say you ran away from home" He shrugs his shoulders. "Because my dad was an alcoholic and he beat me everyday?" Dan suggests, lifting his eyes off the glass of milk. "And you found me crying in the street with bruises all over me?" He adds. Phil shakes his head "no no that will make me sounds like a pedophile". He thinks for a moment.

"How about you're a friend of one of my friends and you needed help on finding somewhere to stay..."

"And my friend can't take me in because her house has no extra room for me..." Dan thinks, tapping his fingers on the table. "And she calls you and you take me in?" He suggests. "Yeah that should work" Phil nods his head. "Now my parents are going to need a place to sleep" He says, taking a bite of his food. Dan hopes he doesn't have to give up his room. He will hate for Phil's parents to see his stuffies and coloring books.
