Fiddling with my necklace and leaning into Peter's shoulder, I sighed softly and closed my eyes. Peter wrapped his arm around me and started to stroke my hair.
"Do you want to talk about it?" He whispered.
"No. Just-just hold me, please." I said as I stopped playing with my necklace. My body was shaking slightly as I took deep breaths.
"Is this how you felt when you lost me?" I asked.
Peter started rubbing my back.
"Yes. Losing you tore me apart. The last thing I saw before I died was your tear stained face. Please don't cry Melody, it's okay."
He wiped tears that I didn't know I had.
"Why do I lose everyone?"
"You didn't lose everyone. I'm here, your father is here, even Henry is here. You are not alone."
"But-"
Peter shushed me by putting a finger to my lips.
"Everything is going to be okay, I promise. You pull through anything that is thrown at you. You are so much stronger than you believe."
I sniffed and leaned into his touch.
"How did I of all people end up with you?" I asked as I wiped my eyes.
He cracked a smile,"There's the Melody I know and adore."
And with that I was laying beside Peter with his arm secured around my waist, and his eyes staring into my own. His warm breath could be felt on my face.
"Just rest, Melody." He said as he caressed my cheek.
"I don't think I can sleep." I said as I held his hand.
"Want me to play you a song?"
I nodded.
His flute was in his hand and he started to softly play a song. It took me a few seconds to realize it was my mother's lullaby that he was playing.
I remember how I sang the same thing for my Lost Boys when they couldn't sleep.
"I love you." I whispered softly.
Feeling my eyes grow heavy I squeezed Peter's hand one last time before falling asleep.

PETER'S POV:

After I made sure Melody was sound asleep, I stopped playing my flute and gently took my hand from hers.
Caressing her face and scars lightly, I stood up and casted a protective spell around my shop.
Walking out, I headed to the cemetery where I knew he would be at. Clenching and unclenching my fists, I found him and made myself control my emotions.
"Killing your ex-wife and betraying her daughter? And I thought I was evil."
I watched as he turned around with a calm expression on his face but I could tell he was shocked to see me.
"Of course Melody would find you." He said as he stood at attention.
"Want to tell me why you killed Milah?" I asked as I crossed my arms.
He shifted his weight from one foot to the other,"It's none of your business."
I raised my eyebrow,"Oh, but it is Rumple. You hurt my lover, and when people hurt her, they don't survive."
He laughed,"Do you really think threatening me is going to help you? Tell me why are you here? I can tell it's not to have bonding time."
I kept my voice steady,"I want to know why you put a paralyzing potion on Melody's things. How come she doesn't remember?"
"Oh that, well you see she was sticking her nose where it didn't belong. I had to do something about it, so I took her necklace why she passed out and took her heart. I made her forget and tried to break that pesky charm, but it failed. Is that what you wanted to hear?"
My eyes widened ever so slightly,"What did you do to her heart?"
He chuckled,"And give away my secrets? If you want to know so badly, go ask Hades."
"What?!" I roared.
I grabbed him by the jacket and slammed him into a nearby tree.
"What did you do?" I seethed.
"It's called a deal. Made one with Hades and now I'm going home."
I let go of him and started to walk away when he muttered,"Hope you have fun with that whore of a pirate."
Turning around on my heel I sucker punched him in the face and started to run back to the shop.
I felt my heart drop as I saw that my spell was broken. Running to the back of the shop it felt as if my heart stopped beating.
Melody was nowhere to be seen.
And her necklace was on the ground with a slight crack in it.
No...
My knees gave in as tears spilled down my face.
An anguished cry came from my lips as I realized my lover was in the hands of the devil.
