"Shhhh" said Jason. "Why are you yelling?"

"Jason!" said Jessica, "it said the power goes out and the lights did go out! And you are still asking us why are we yelling?"

Jason put the flashlight on and shone it on the game board. The words had disappeared from the globe.

"Look it was only a co incidence don't get scared!"

Jessica snorted in disbelief and said, "I don't care what you think I am not playing"

"I don't think you have a choice" said Heath.

"What do you mean?" asked Jessica shrilly.

"Look" said Heath pointing at the board.

They all turned to look at the board and the figurine taht resembled Jessica which had been lying down a few seconds ago stood on the square that said 'start'

"Ok that does it! I am not playing!"

She tried to get up but was unable to move.

"What is happening?" asked Rhonda.

"WEll" said Jason, "the rules are simple once you get started you can't stop until its the end"

"But that is ridiculous! The game says it only ends with death!"

"Oh come on Jessica! That's just metamorphically speaking! We aren't actually going to die!"

And again they heard the same sly giggle. Jessica shivered and Rhonda moved closer to her. She couldn't understand why Jason was being so pig headed about this game. It was clear to her that there was something evil about the game and not your average JUMANJI kind of evil, nope this thing reeked of something way worse.

"Well come on the only way to make the lights come back on is to play!" said Jason.

Jessica shivered and rolled the dice and threw them on the board.

They all huddled close tot he board again to see what would happen next and once again, the globe filled with smoke before the letters appeared in red.

"Everything you ever feared was true so I wouldn't look into a mirror if I was you!"

Just then the lights came back on and everyone sighed in relief.

"What is that supposed to mean anyway?" asked Jason.

"Ever since I saw the candyman I have been afraid of looking into the mirrors" said Jessica. "I-I only ever look into mirrors when my mom is present and there aren't any mirrors in my room"

"Oh" said Jason frowning, "So what do we do? Do we go ahead?" Or do we wait for something to happen?"

"Look I am not going to look into the mirror so we can't sit here and wait for something to happen go ahead and play your turn Rhonda"

Just then they heard a clanging noise and all of them looked up. What Jessica, saw made her blood curdle. What she hadn't realized was they had been sitting in front of a huge mirror and what she saw made her go white and she yelled, she yelled till her voice became hoarse.

"What's wrong?" asked Jason looking terrified.

"Can't you see?" asked Jessica covering her face.

"What?"

"Look in the mirror!"

Jason looked up and what he saw struck him dumb. Right there in the mirror stood a girl about 12 years old and she looked hideous. Her face was swollen and there were scars on her face and she was smiling at them crazily. Then she put her hand up and beckoned to them.

"Oh my God" said Jason.

"Rhonda and Heath don't look back"

Rhonda and Heath did as they were told. Jason then took their sofa cover and threw it quickly on the mirror. He sighed in relief as the hideous face of the girl disappeared and he walked back tot he sofa.

"Boy! This is one crazy game, I am quiet enjoying the special effects"

Jessica looked at him as if he had lost his mind but gave up trying to argue with him.

"Rhonda its your turn, the sooner we finish the better"

Rhonda nodded and her hands shook as she tried to throw the dice but she eventually managed it. She bit her nails as she watched the globe and waited to see what would happen next. Heath read it out loud.

"At night ghosties and ghoulies venture out so when one grabs you do not shout"

"What does that mean?" cried Rhonda, "I do not want anyone to grab me!"

Just then two grimy brown hands shot out from under the couch and grabbed her legs.

"Noooooooooooooo! No let me go!"

Jason rushed to her side and tried removing those hands from her legs. He exclaimed as parts of rotting flesh came in his hands.

"Yuck! Let her go!"

"Heath play your turn! Play your turn" yelled Jessica over Rhonda's shouting.

"Oh my God let go of me!" she was now half on the floor with her legs completely dragged under the couch.

"Rhonda hold on" yelled Jason, struggling to keep his sister from disappearing under the couch.

Heath played his turn and Jessica looked into the globe, "Close your windows and doors there are nasty things out there that walk out on all fours"

Jessica turned to see that Rhonda was now sitting cowering on the couch while Jason consoled her. There were red fingermarks around her ankles.

Just then they heard a loud thumping noise against the front door and an unearthly roar.
