Jessica rushed out of her hiding place and ran towards the hall and stopped as she took in the sight before her. Heath lay cowering under the couch and Jason stood before him. She saw the gameboard and the dice had just fallen. Rhonda came up fron behind and together they made their way to the board.
Once again they looked into the crystal to see what came up.
"Its not easy to get rid of the creatures of the night, to face what comes next you must have a lot of might."
"What is that supposed to mean?" asked Jessica as she looked about fearfully as if the creature may come lunging at them.
"What does it say?" asked Heath coming out from under the couch.
When he read it he too looked around, he was now shivering and he had lost all his confidence as well.
"Jason I don't want to play anymore" whimpered Rhonda.
"We have to" whispered Jason.
"Are you insane?" yelled Jessica.
"Jessica read the rules, we can't just stop playing the game"
"I want mommy" said Rhonda.
"Fine then, lets get this stupid game over with"
They all stopped as yet again they heard the same eerie laughter. Then a scratchy voice said,
"Its not over till we say its over"
All four of them gasped and Jason looked around, his turn was done but yet a new horror was to be unleashed.
"Kill them"
Jason started as he heard a voice, the other three looked at him curiously.
"What's wrong Jace?" asked Rhonda.
"N-nothing"
KILL THEM!
This time the command was sterner and stronger and more compelling. Jason started walking towards the kitchen. He was sure there was a butcher knife in there. He was sure it would cut through their throats effortlessy.
"to face what comes next you must have a lot of might."
The words somehow echoed in his head. He turned and yelled out to Jessica.
"Jessica you need to play your turn"
"Jason what is wrong?"
THen she saw Jason and the maniacal glint in his eye and the knife in his hand. She ran to the board and was rolling the dice just as Jason came walking towards them. He seemed to be having an internal struggle with himself. Jessica pushed Rhonda and Heath behind the couch and rolled the dice just as Jason raised his arm to strike.
Rhonda shrieked as his hand sliced through the air and Jessica ducked just as Jason brought his arm down.
A/N: Hey all, sorry I was busy with my cousin's wedding, then work overload and some health issues. I hope to be regular from now on. Sorry the chapter is short but I promise to make it up with frequent uploads.
