Dont Go

A man wearing a velvet red coat with his hair all messy with a comb in his hand trying to fix his hair I walk towards him and giggle "Bad hair day?" I asked "Nothing to worry S just a little water and it will be fine" he said "Renz red coat?" i said "Yeah why?" he asked "Well its just weird whats going on?" I asked "Well its Valentines Day,S" he said "Va...len..tines da...y" I said "Aghh" I said slamming my hand on the pole "Shit" I cursed "Are you ok?" he said grabbing my hands "Yeah just nothing we should probably go to school now" I said "Yeah sure,Taxi!" he said.A taxi pulled up to us Renz opened the door for me and said "Ladies first" I laughed and got in "Xander University" he said to the taxi driver.The taxi drove us there and Renz gave the taxi driver money "Uhh before we draw any attention to us I'm gonna go to the school garden to see my plants" he said "Good idea see ya" I said waving at him he started to run in the direction of the garden "You and Renz are my otp" a familiar voice said "Really Jacklyn like I said we are only friends" I said turning around "Yeah yeah" she said then someone covered my eyes "Guess who"."Janel" I said "Wow you are really good at this" Janel said "Guys come on its almost time" Jacklyn said.We walked inside the school smelling the scented air with the janitor cleaning and the lockers filled with different designs I stopped by my locker dropping my books that I wont be using for now so did my friends whilst placing my books I smelt a sweaty brute,Johnson "Sup pretty lady" he said "If you are trying to make me fall in love with you start with bathing yourself" I said "Oh well you don't like big strong men" he says as he flexes his muscles "Or do you like weak scrawny men like your friend Renz" he said whilst I was walking away "Don't you ever tal..." before I could finish I heard a voice "Johnson...Can't believe you still wear that varsity jacket when you got replaced by me" Renz said "Replaced?" Johnson said "Impossible how could you replace me" he  said "I didn't can't believe you actually fell for that you are so gullible" Renz said "Wha.." he said before running away sobbing pushing away other students "Damn you did a number on that guy Renz" Jacklyn said "Nice job" Janel said "You aren't good at fighting but you are damn well good at outsmarting people" I said "Thanks" he said "So hows your plants going" I said while walking to our respective classrooms "Amazing I think I got this activity in the bag" he said "How about your novel" he said "Its not a novel its a essay" I said "An essay that is 15 pages long when the minimum is 5 pretty much sure its a novel" he said "Screw you,my class is this way see ya" I said "Mine is still far see ya at lunch" he said.Our day went normal as usual until lunch Renz came in holding something behind is back "I present to you my plants" he said bringing out a pot with roses on it "Wow whats your score" I asked "An A+" he said "Your essay?" "Well umm I got I don't know yet to be honest she still didn't give us the score" I answered "Ah man I wanted to see how many people approved of your novel" he said smiling "I swear I will hit you" I said "Yeah well Ill poke you with my roses" he said playfully "Whatever lets just eat" I said handing him a tray "Did you just buy me this" he asked "Yeah my way of repaying the taxi" I said "Well thanks S" he said "So S,wanna have a group,study" Jacklyn said while me and Renz where eating "With who and where" I asked "With me,Janel,you and maybe Renz" she said "Pass" Renz said "Ok with me,Janel and you it will be held at your dorm,agree?" she said "Yeah sure" I said smiling,Janel walks on the table all sad and I asked "What happened" she answers with "You know the English essay" "Yeah" I said "I..got......" "Got what say it Janel" Renz said "An A+" Janel said silence filled the three of us until Renz started clapping and so did we two until the whole room started to clapped and I realized they weren't clapping for Janel but for the Valentines Day special and god I hate it.It started with dance numbers in the middle of the cafeteria and they show the otp of last year and it was always me and Renz when we came in this school when the music played Renz was more serious than I ever seen him after the music the  pictures of the otp was showed it wasn't me and Renz it was Janel and Jlay with the title "Couple in the making" the three of us looked at Janel "Surprise!" she said waving her hands with Jlay coming towards us a blond young looking man "Sup guys" he said "He is my soon to be boyfriend" she said "Congrats Janel" Jacklyn said.Renz looked Jlay straight in the eye and said "If you break her heart her closes friend will put you in her hit list" Jlay replied with "Well why would I break the heart of the most beautiful woman in the whole entire world" I looked at Jlay and said "You guys make a good couple".The bell rang and we went to our respective classes and continue our day.

At My House
During the group study Renz called me "Hey sorry for disturbing but this has been bothering me for quite some time" he said "What is it?" I asked "The whole we are a couple kind of thing I mean we are friends but who thinks we are more than that" he said "A lot of people to be honest I guess it started with the rumor that we loved each other and just kept it a secret" I said "Rumor huh well good thing there is only that rumor against us" he said "What do you mean by that" I said "You know I'll just tell you tomorrow meet me after school at Gate Park" he said "Sure".I hang up on him and the girls was smiling looking at me and I just brushed it off before hitting the books again.

After School
It was a rainy day good thing I brought a umbrella and so did Renz he walked up to me "Hi" he said "So what did you want to talk about" I said sitting on a bench "I think we should..." he said slowly "Should what?" I asked "Should distance ourselves from each other" he said then right there my heart dropped everything we have been too gone down the drain "No Renz why do you want to put a distance between us,why did you think of this,why Renz tel..." I said but Renz cut me off shouting "I can't handle it look S I....I have...cancer and I know this would affect you so much as you care about me and I just can't let that happen I'm okay to die but for me to die and you to die mentally is heartbreaking" I saw he was getting teary and I was in shock "Renz this is one of your jokes right? Renz tell me" I said grasping his cold hands "No it's real S" he said "I...I...if this is what you want I'll do it" I said letting go of his hand and getting up the bench before I left he said something "Thank you S" I responded with "Hey Renz" "What is it?" he asks "Stay alive until there is a cure for cancer,stay alive for me" I said "Yeah I..." then thump I looked back to see Renz on the ground unconscious I called the ambulance and he was rushed to the hospital one by one I saw nurse coming in and out of Renz room then his family came they rushed past me as I was sitting patiently waiting until the doctor came out and said "I'm sorry he is gone" his whole family broke into tears I stood up and ran away the hospital crying thinking why of all people he died why wasn't it me why did this piece of shit God did nothing.I stopped walking when I saw roses then I remembered his plants he would talk about them like it was his girlfriend it made me jealous on how he loved the roses more than me how silly was I and now that man that gave me a smile is gone and I can only wish for one thing "I wish we switched positions" I said holding the roses as tight as I can....
