Chaeyoung's POV
Despite all the crap that happened yesterday, I was still able to fall asleep at ease. I've never had trust issues, but somehow I feel like I can trust this guy.
I stretch as I leave the comfort of the bed. I glance at the clock: 5:40 AM. It's pretty early, but I've always been the first one to wake up out of the girls since I liked to get ready for the day early. I probably should be worried about the fact that I literally have nothing of my possession with me, but I have hope that I'll be able to return back to my apartment, and leave this whole fiasco behind me.
I don't know how much Jungkook will appreciate me cooking for him, but I know the girls always liked my cooking, so why the heck not? Food is life anyways.
I trudge out the bedroom, moving like an intoxicated being, feeling the walls for a light switch, for it was still dark. I smile in triumph once I felt a familiar texture, and flicked it up. I'm blinded for a few seconds, my eyes overwhelmed by the excessive amount of light. Once my vision adjusted, the search for the kitchen commenced.
If I was any normal person, I would have found the kitchen by now, but I have never been someone that could navigate around easily; meaning, I get lost easily, and that is exactly what's happening. I groan in frustration. Jungkook's place isn't that massive, but I still can't manage to find the kitchen.
"You know it's considered rude to look around people's property." Someone announces behind me. I jump, my heart pounding from surprise.
"You know, it's considered rude to walk up on people like that without their knowledge." I murmur, turning around to face Jungkook, who is crossing his arms in amusement.
"Touché," He nods, "Anyways, what were you doing lurking around? It's still pretty early."
"I tend to wake up early, and I was just... exploring." I lie, not wanting to reveal my true intention.
"Uh huh, exploring.... I see." He emphasizes, not quite believing me. "Well, if your hungry, I have breakfast ready." He informs me, dropping the subject.
"Huh, you made breakfast? When?" I ask, puzzled, for I did not hear any noises from wherever the kitchen was supposed to be.
"A couple minutes ago... During your um, excuse me," he coughs, "exploring."
I pout, not pleased with the teasing, "Is this how you treat every girl?"
"Hmm, do I treat every girl like this?" He questions, and then laughs when he sees my face, "Sorry, you're just fun to tease. Come on, let's eat breakfast."
I slap my face in frustration once he leads me to the kitchen, "So that's where it was!"
"You really wanted to cook, huh?" He asks, looking at me intently.
"Ye- wait, were you following me?" I accuse, catching on.
"I don't know, was I?" He teases, pretending to look serious.
"I've known you for less than one day, and I already hate you." I admit, pouting in annoyance.
"Hey, that's not a nice thing to say." He pouts, imitating me.
"Can you please die in a hole?" I groan. God, this guy was aggravating.
Jungkook smiles, his eyes softening, "Sorry, it's been a while since I've conversed with someone easy to tease," he laughs at my reaction, "Okay fine! I'll stop now."
I sigh, making my way to the table, and looking at the meal he considered 'breakfast.' "Umm, not to rub your ego the wrong way, but what is this?"
Jungkook looks over me, examining the food, "That is breakfast Chaeyoung."
I glance down at the piece of cake in front of me, quietly questioning his sanity, "Who eats- you know what, I'm not even going to ask." I say, picking up my fork to start eating the sugary goodness in front of me.
Jungkook plops down on the chair across from me, "I usually eat two pieces of plain bread for breakfast, but I ran out so...." he explains.
"If this is your backup plan for food, you have some serious shopping to do. Donuts would have been okay for breakfast, but cake? Honey, you need to up your game."
"Yes mother." Jungkook teases.
"I thought you said you were going to stop teasing me!" I pout.
"Sorry Chaeyoung, I tend to disobey a lot." He smirks at me.
I face palm myself, "Why do I have to associate with the likes of you?"
"It's unfortunate, for you at least, but it's fate as they say." He shrugs.
"God, I hope not." I murmur under my breathe.
