Chaeyoung's POV
"Thank you, Jungkook. You don't know how grateful I am." I whisper towards Jungkook's direction as we walk side by side.
Jungkook looks down at me, the edges of his eyes slightly crinkling as he smiles softly, "You didn't seem comfortable with the topic, so I had to jump in."
I sigh, "To be honest, I'm not quite sure how I ended up in your bedroom either. I was just having my daily biking session when I suddenly blacked out." I explain leaving out the accident portion as we begin to cross the street.
"Watch out!" Jungkook yelps, grabbing me by the waist, pulling me back from an oncoming vehicle.
My heart pounds, recalling a familiar incident. "Yah, I know we just met, but pay attention to your surroundings, please." Jungkook chastises, his eyebrows raised up due to his panic.
"Yes, I'm sorry," I whisper, "I just had a moment there."
Jungkook massages his forehead, sighing, "Just make sure it doesn't happen again."
My vision blacks out for a moment, and an unfamiliar man appears before me.
"Remember the conditions Park Chaeyoung. Good luck." A strange man explained to me, shaking my hand.
I shake my head, confused by the vision that just came through my head. "-young! Chaeyoung, are you there?" I snap back to reality, realizing that Jungkook was shaking my shoulders to bring me back to reality.
I nod my head, "Yes, sorry. I guess I got too shocked just then." But in all seriousness, who was that? And conditions? What the heck?
Jungkook stares at me worriedly, pulled his hair back, and then proceeds to turn so that his back was facing me. He gets on one knee, waiting for me expectantly.
"Um, what are you doing?" I ask him, befuddled by his actions.
"I'm going to give you a ride back home. I don't want you spacing out on me all the time because at this rate, we'll never get back home." He jokes.
"Jungkook, I'm really fine. Don't worry." I reassure him, smiling a little although he could not see me.
"Chaeyoung, I'm not taking no for an answer. If you don't get on my back, I'm literally going to carry you home in my arms." Jungkook stubbornly replies.
I sigh, jumping on his back, "Don't blame me if you wake up with a sore back tomorrow."
Jungkook grunts as he stands up, "Nah, you're as light as a pillow."
I wrap my arms around his shoulder, using it as leverage to avoid falling off his back.
"Chaeyoung, I would appreciate not being choked to death, please and thank you." Jungkook complains.
I did not get a chance to reply, for my vision blacked out once again.
"Condition one. Don't tell anyone. Not even him."
I blink, my vision coming back. I take in my surroundings to realize that we have arrived on the porch of Jungkook's house.
"Well look who's back." He comments, apparently sensing my presence, "You like to black out a lot, huh?"
"I probably lack sleep." I pretend to yawn to add as an effect.
Jungkook chuckles, his back vibrating, "Well good thing we're back home now." He says, kneeling down to let me off, "its getting pretty late. It'd be best for you to catch some sleep."
I smile in response, "Thank you Jungkook. You don't know how much you've done for me. Especially since you're letting me stay in here despite me being a stranger."
"Don't take my kindness for granted; otherwise, I'll be charging you for living here." He jokes, returning my smile.
"I guess I'll live out in the streets then." I suggest, chuckling.
Jungkook yawns, his eyes watering from the action, "I'm going to go ahead. You can take my room again, and don't even bother to argue. I'm too tired." And with that, he trudges towards, what I'm assuming, one of the guest bedrooms.
I sigh as I stare at his retreating figure. Man was today a long day. First meeting Jin, and then now those weird visions. Jungkook was right, maybe some sleep will help.
