Chaeyoung's POV
The rest of our breakfast was rather.... eventful to say the least. Jungkook loves to tease me, and it's great. Note the sarcasm. Surprisingly, we did get something out of our conversations. After Jungkook gets back from work, we would go grocery shopping together with me leading since his pantry needed some help. Jungkook wasn't too happy with the suggestion, for he found it offensive that I was judging his diet, when his 'diet' consisted of bread, bread, and... bread. The man needed some vegetables and fruits in his life. According to Jungkook, he's only eating bread because he's a rebel.... I may have known Jungkook for less than a day, but God does he act like a kid. I feel bad for his future wife. He'll be a handful.
I sigh, plopping on one of the couches in his living room. I'm pretty proud of myself. I found the living room without getting lost. What an accomplishment. Go me! I glare at the ceiling, contemplating life. Now what am I supposed to do? Jungkook already left for work, and here I am, bored out of my mind. Oh, right. The girls are probably worried about me. I should give them a call.
I leave the comfort of the couch, groaning when I realize what I had to do. I didn't have my phone with me because my dumb butt forgot to bring it on that bike ride, and so, I now have to search for a telephone that Jungkook may not even have. I groan again, chastising myself for being so forgetful.
"What a great life you lead, Chaeyoung," I mumble to myself, "just great."
It turns out Jungkook really didn't have a telephone, or at least I'm pretty sure he doesn't because my navigating skills aren't all that great, so I could have missed a spot or two during my 'exploration'. I totally did not get lost finding the telephone... Okay, maybe I got lost once... twice... maybe ten times? I plop down on the couch again, closing my eyes. I'll have to ask to use Jungkook's phone when he gets home. For now, I'll catch up on my sleep.
-
A horrible, loud screeching sound enters my ears.
"Jungkook, what the heck are you doing?" I grumble, my voice laced in sleep.
Jungkook doesn't reply, and instead keeps playing the horrible screeching sound.
"I swear, if you don't stop..." I threaten, my eyes still closed.
I open my eyes, glaring in annoyance at the sight before me, "Couldn't you have woken me up in a more proper way?"
Jungkook was very close to me, with a recorder directly next to my ear. His eyes widen, and then he falls on the floor, laughing so hard that tears begin to form in his eyes.
I rub my poor ears, sighing, "If I get permanent ear damage, I'm suing you."
Jungkook wipes his tears, his laughter dying down, "You didn't enjoy my performance of My Heart Will Go On? I practiced a lot for it." He pouts, a glint of amusement in his eyes.
I cross my arms, staring at him, not amused, "If you call that horrid sound a performance, you have a lot of work to do."
"I couldn't help it. You were out in the open, so I couldn't resist." He smiles, his eyes softening.
"Okay, maybe it was partially my fault, but couldn't you have been a little more nicer? My poor ears..." I huff.
"No can do. Didn't I say that I disobey a lot?" He smirks.
I sigh, "God you're infuriating.... Anyways, before we go grocery shopping, can I borrow your phone?"
"What for?" Jungkook asks, already reaching to his back pants pocket for his phone.
"I need to call my friends, they're probably worried about me." I reply.
Jungkook nods in understanding, and hands me his phone. I quickly type in Jennie's number, not bothering to look at the date displayed on the screen. It rings twice before someone picks up.
I hear a lot of commotion on the other end, and I roll my eyes. That's probably Jisoo and Lisa again.
"Hello? Who is this?" A familiar voice greets me, and I smile.
"Jennie? It's me, Chaeyoung."
"Chaeyoung?" There is a hint of concern in her voice, "What happened? I heard you missed your flight for Australia..."
"Huh? Australia?" I ask in confusion, "Unnie, that was three years ago."
It was Jennie's turn to be confused, for the line goes silent for a few moments, "Chaeyoung, three years ago was 2011.... Are you sure you're okay?"
"Wait, what?" I ask, even more confused.
"Chaeyoung it's 2014. I know you're forgetful, but come on." Jennie jokes, trying to lighten the mood.
But I was not listening. 2014? I'm know I'm forgetful, but I am pretty sure it's 2017 this year. What is going on?
