Chapter 5: Another Day.

~Hinata's POV~

It was an ordinary day. Just an ordinary day, going to the same school... Seeing the same people. Now why do I feel so self-conscious! As I look at my uniform making sure it was perfect. "Wh-What's wrong with me..." I sigh. Going downstairs to eat breakfast.

My driver was waiting for me as she greets "Good morning, Hinata-sama." Toko greets, smiling "Morning, wh-where's Neji?" I ask her curiously, getting in the car. "He said he had to be at school early for an assignment." She explains starting the car. Driving I notice Toko looking at me through the rear-view mirror "Something wrong?" I ask "Oh nothing... You just look really nice today." She says, I smile at the compliment happy. My mind drifting back to the new student, shaking my head, blushing at the sudden thought of him "Mm, you looking nice for a boy?" She asks. My eyes widen at her precise assumption "How- I-I mean..." I look down, my face, heating up in embarrassment. Toko all but giggled as they arrived toward the schools gate. "Don't worry I won't tell anyone." She says as I quickly got out the car "But if you need advice I'm here." She winks driving off. Shaking my head, at Toko's antics, walking.

It definitely was an ordinary day except different as I notice a few stares come my way. Now as a Hyūga, people generally stare but today the stares seemed odd.

As I go to my locker. I see Sakura come my way from her locker. "Morning~" she greets giving a quick hug "M-Morning..." I say "Do you think some of the girls are looking at me strangely?" I whisper to Sakura. She quickly looks, noticing a few girls walking by looking at Hinata. "They are." Sakura says, puzzled "Wh-Why?" I ask, Sakura just shrugged. 'Ino should know.' Thinking to myself. Almost as though on cue Ino showed up "Hey guys." She greets us both "Hey, do you know what's up with the girls giving these looks to Hinata-chan?" Sakura asks immediately. "Ah, it's probably because you get to escort the new student." Ino answers easily 'That's Ino for you.' I say to myself "Also heard what happened with the blond yesterday and Kiba." Ino says looking at me "Talk about scandalous~" She says giggling "But no gossips here since it's our friends." Ino assures us, as the siren went for Homeroom.

~Author's POV~

Everyone was seated waiting for Kakashi-sensei once again, the students just chatting with one another. Hinata wasn't really speaking as she noticed the seat next to her was empty. "W-Was his injuries w-worse than I thought?" Hinata questioned herself 'Or did h-he decide to change classes due to yesterday...' Her thoughts producing multiple different conclusions. Dampening her mood. "Good morning everyone." Kakashi says entering not bothering to mention his tardiness. Hinata just looked down as the blonde hadn't arrived yet. As everyone greeted

"Morning~" Naruto suddenly greeted tiredly by the door. "Uzumaki-san you're late." Kakashi pointed out, the class just gave Kakashi-sensei a look at him scolding about tardiness. "Is there a reason for you being late?" He questions ignoring the looks "I didn't want to get up this morning..." He says, yawning "So I overslept." He closed the sliding door behind him. Kakashi just looked at the blonde, so did the class at his reason "Well, I'll give you props for honesty but you can't come to class late." Kakashi says "Mm, but I just watched you enter the class now, sensei." Naruto mentioned, stretching.

Hinata was amazed, Naruto looked perfectly fine despite yesterdays fight.

Kakashi just gave a nervous laugh, sighing after "You can have a seat Uzumaki-san, just be in class by the time I come." He says, Naruto just nodded. Heading to his seat, eyes locking with the Hyūga's. Looking at her even as he sat down "Morning... Hinata." He says, giving a slight smile before looking at the teacher.

Hinata felt her face heating up as they looked at one another and the smile he gave "M-M-Morning..." She says, as he looked at the teacher "N-Naruto-san.." Hinata smiled, looking forward.

Needless to say, there was quite a lot of girls that noticed their chumminess. But also a few of Hinata's fans- Yep fans- glaring in envy that Naruto was able to talk with Hinata. A new rival, the first rival was Kiba and it looked like Kiba wasn't happy at all. Annoyance building. And Sasuke was surprisingly calm after the misunderstanding.

The lessons moving on, Hinata showing Naruto around in between lessons, telling him different rooms. The first break she actually got to show him the school. The pools, gym, music room and many other facilities the school has to offer. Honestly it was really big for the blonde, a bit much for him. But Naruto was still quiet as yesterday, well not as quiet but spoke when Hinata spoke. Which was a relief to Hinata, happy he answered. The day went on and it was second break once again, Naruto said that he wanted Hinata to be with her friends and that he'd go to the small garden again but Hinata didn't want that "N-No..." Hinata says, stopping him from going as the students left the class for break. "Sit w-with us." Hinata says, smiling "You sure? That dog guy doesn't seem to like me." He asks "O-Oh Kiba, he should be fine Sakura-chan spoke to him." She says, assuring him. Naruto just pondered but Hinata suddenly asked "A-Are you okay?" She asks. Naruto just looked at her confused "What do you mean?" He questions "F-From yesterday with m-my cousin..." She says looking down. Naruto just chuckled "You worry too much, even over someone you just met." As he took Hinata's hand, putting it on his abdomen. Pushing her hand down hard "See..." He says smiling "Sure there's a bruise but I barely feel it." Which was the truth.

Hinata's face was heating up, as her hand stayed on his midsection. Feeling his warmth, also his abdomen moving as he breathed. His hand also still holding hers.

"But I guess I'll sit with you." He says letting go. Hinata's hand quickly retreated to her other hand. "O-Okay..." Was all she said, beginning to walk. Quiet. Naruto followed, noticing her silence but just left it.

Heading to the cafeteria, Naruto wondering what would happen once he met those two. Chuckling.
