AN: Hey chapter 10 has ARRIVED! Yes, 10 complete chapters and only like 250 views. RIP my writing. But, I'm hoping this will eventually take off a bit. I might start an Enoch fanfic. If I did, would you read it? Or do you know someone who would? Let me know, and maybe I will! Anyways, enjoy!

After a month of dishes and another month of nothing happening, something DID happen. Now, it wasn't anything good. It wasn't anything fun. It was actually quite terrible. Miss Robin's loop was raided by a band of wights, and when they left the loop to seek refugee at another, they were greeted by several hungry hollowgasts, and well, it didn't end well. This news spread quickly through the Peculiardom. And Ymbrynes everywhere were immediately notified and told to be absolutely SURE that no one, unless they were accompanied by their Ymbryne, left the loop for even a second. It was too risky, due to the fact that wights are extremely underhanded and sneaky. So, we were, as everyone called it, on loop arrest. Hey, it's better than house arrest. At least we could still go to the village.

But, eventually, it became more clear as to who would sneak out of the loop every so often, because they became antsy and restless. Fidgeting and doing a lot of random house work that was unnecessary. Enoch was upstairs more, because he couldn't leave to get fresh hearts. Emma began to pace around the house and occasionally went into town to light random shit on fire. Everyone who ever left the loop just for a change of scenery was in a terrible mood. But, we all knew that if we so much as stepped foot inside the cairn, we'd be dead. D-E-A-D. And if the Bird some how didn't find out, then we would most definitely be found and killed by something else. And that would be worse. So we all listened and suffered silently.

Soon, after all the buzz about the attack died down, the loops went back to normal, while it still was a rule to stay in the loop, no one followed it. The mood in the house restored to it's usual, cheerful mood. But there was still the a sense of fear hanging in the air. Wights are unpredictable and extremely smart. So, despite the fact that some of the children still left the loop, it wasn't as often and no one lingered long.

There have been 2 more attacks. One in a small loop off the coast of Mexico: January 31, 1762. Another in a much larger loop, two Ymbrynes, in Canada: March 21, 1962. No one is allowed outside of the loop. Whatsoever. No matter what. Ymbryne or not, we do not leave under any circumstances. It was a pain in the ass. There were several occasions when I found my mind wandering beyond the loop, but my feet remained planted firmly on the wooden floor in my bedroom. I felt terrible. I've spent more time in my room alone than I have with Millard. I didn't like the limited freedom. So I limited it more by staying where I was. Stupid idea. My thoughts overwhelmed my head. Fear covered me like a thick coat of paint. Surely if the wights have attacked three loops already, they won't be stopping. And if they came here, would we fight or flee? Would we surrender? I'm not sure Miss Peregrine would allow that. And they are mainly after Ymbrynes, so would they bait out one of the little ones in order to capture her? My mind was all over, but it all came back to the same thing. What if they get what they want?

Of course, I never said it aloud. That would cause a problem with everyone worrying more than they already are. My writing went from realistic fiction to questions. Pages of them. I didn't want anything to happen. So I secluded myself and my thoughts.

After staying in my room all day, later that night, a knock came from the door.

"Y/n?" It's was Millard. "Are you in there?"

"Yeah. And the doors open, if that is what you are wondering." I said, smiling. That was always the follow up question. The door slowly opened and Millard walked in. He closed the door and made his way over to my bed, then sat next to me. He seemed a bit tense.

"You've been in here all day." He said.

"Yes I have. I don't feel too well." It wasn't a total lie. I have felt an uneasiness since the third attack.

"Ok... well if you feel better say.... midnight.... you should most definitely meet me on the beach." And with that he stood up and walked out. Saying nothing else. He just.... left.

I glanced up at the clock. 10:32. Hm. I suppose I could go later and meet him. For what reasons? I don't know. But, it might be good if I get out of the house for a little. So at eleven, I got dressed and did my hair. I wasn't trying to look nice, but I was trying to look decent.

At 11:45 I set out, climbing through my window to be was sure I wasn't caught. I slid down the roof and carefully jumped to the ground, thankful the roof hung low on this half of the house. I made my way to the beach and once I arrived, I saw Millard sitting right by the water. I took off my shoes and made my way across the sand to him.

"Hello." I said, sitting next to him.

"We have to go out of the loop." He said automatically.

"What?" I asked. He is always against the idea of going outside the loop, but with everything that is happening, I don't think he'd leave if his life depended on it. "Why?"

"Miss Peregrine is making Emma and me. I asked if you could come to and she said only if you wanted to." He looked over at me.

"Why though?" I asked again.

"She said we need to go and get some one, but she won't tell us who. Emma thinks it might be a wight. But that's ridiculous. If it was a wight, she wouldn't send us out." He said this all very fast. I nodded.

"I'll go with you if that's what you're asking. I have no problem with it." I said.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure." I said. "When are we leaving?"

"Tomorrow morning. 8 in the morning. Dress a bit warm, it's fall outside the loop and rainy." I nodded.

"Is that all you needed?"

"Well, I actually wanted to spend time with you. But it's late and we need to be up early tomorrow. Let's head back." He stood up and I did too.

"Then what if you stay in my room for the night?" He asked as we headed back to the house.

"Sure, but I need to be out of your room be six. An hour before everyone starts waking up." I replied.

"Make it 6:30 and we've got a deal" he said. I smiled.

"Fine. Deal." I said shoving his arm lightly.

That night we stayed close, but I barely slept. I really didn't want to go outside the loop. But I was going to anyways.
