Stay away from Jack...

Leave him alone...

What are you...

You should really be killed...

"Stop it!"

I woke up in bed, sweat all over my body. The dried tears kept my eyes from opening properly. I don't feel like getting up after all those fuss last night. I don't even know if it's just a dream. But... I guess not.

I looked at my hand and found some burn marks.

"What have I done...?" I said to myself.

"Lacie... you need to explain to me everything..." I mumbled.

"Am I the Cause of all misfortune?"

"Am I a threat to Jack and the others?"

"Lacie... please answer me."

See...? Even Lacie left me... Everything fell into ruins in just one night... I don't know what to do anymore. I suddenly heared a knock on the window. i stood up to see Jack's sad face which breaks my heart so much because I know I am the reason why the smile he had yesterday faded.

"Jack...I--" He suddenly wrapped his arms around my waist.

"I already now..." he whispered. "But I don't care! I don't care if you're unlucky, I don't care if you're a threat to us... I don't have anything to lose anymore... you're the only one left."

That was the first I ever saw Jack cry. Someone really cared for me. Someone finally found me important. What makes me sad is that I am hurting that person. I am ruining Jack's life.

"Jack... I'm dangerous. you know that. I don't even know what I can to others... to you."

I felt him hug me tighter. "No... Your life belongs to me. That's why I don't want you to leave me." he said.

"But Jack I--"

"That's an order! Alice... just believe in me." Tear rolled down to my cheeks. I want to stay with him but every odds tells that it is wrong. I don't want to be selfish but... I want to be happy atleast once in my life.

"Jack... What am I going to do?" I whispered.

"Will figure it out together." he said.

I spent the whole day with Jack and I lying on the bed, not minding the people knocking on the door. We were just staring at each other; speaking through our minds; asking ourselves what will be of the future.

Lacie never spoke to me ever since that day. I know she's hiding something from me. I miss Lacie though I am quite annoyed that she's not here when I needed her most. The one who is here is Jack, the one who is most hurt by the situation.

"Alice." I was startled by Gil climbing on the tree near my room.

"Bloody hell, Gil. What are you doing there?" I said as I open the window to let him in.

"Well, you've been in your room for the whole day. Everyone's worried about you."

"I don't care." I replied as I go back to bed with Jack.

"I'm worried about you..." Gil muttered.

"Come here." I offered him a place to sleep between us. Gil quickly jumped in waking up Jack.

"Hey there, buddy." Jack said to Gil.

"Jack were you with Alice the whole day?"

"Well, yeah."

"What were you doing then?"

"Well, I am begging her to marry me."

"Oh, that's nice. Can I be the ring bearer?"

"Silly kid, yes, yes you can." I said.

"Hold on, I'll get something from my room." Gil said and jumped out of the bed.

I looked at Jack with my "WTF Jack" face.

"Marriage? Seriously, Jack?" I said.

"What? Oh, come on. Marriage is not a big deal for children, they don't know that yet."

"But Jack--

"I got it!" Gil shouted and ran towards us. "Here." he said as he hand us each a ring.

"These are wedding rings right?" I asked.

"Yea, they belong to my parents."

"Oh, Gil, I don't think you should give these to us." Jack said.

"Why so?"

"Well. You see. These belong to your parents. This is the symbol of their love, not ours."

"I don't really get you adults." Gil replied pouting his lips.

I pat Gil's head and said to him, "How about we do a make-believe marriage? We'll just borrow your parents' wedding rings, okay?"

"Really? Yay! I've never seen a marriage before." he replied.

We all got our of bed. I used the curtain as my veil. Jack removed my ribbon and it around his neck. It was very mesy so I fixed it for him but ended up with another mess because I don't know how to fix a tie so I just made a ribbon. We both stood by the window facing each other. Gil started walk towards us carrying my pillow with the rings at the top of it.

Jack took the ring and slid it on my finger. He looked at me and said, "You don't need to be afraid anymore. I'm right here." My eyes became watery, touched by his words. I took the other ring did the same. "Thank you Jack... for everything you've done."

It was then I felt another throb on my chest. Then quickly felt possessive over Jack. I suddenly wanted to kill everyone who are against our love. But I felt Gil's hand hold me.

"Don't let them get you. Oswald told me to tell you that." he said.

"What?" I asked.

"I don't know. Anyways, you and Jack really make a good couple. Can you be my parents?"

"Well that's a bit sudden. But, of course you can." Jack said as he try to carry Gil.

I felt happy because the three of us looks like a family though we were all originally friends. Despite the pain I am carrying from what I discovered last night, I am pretty thankful to still have Jack and Gil in my life. I am contented with a world with just them... just them...
