"Alice...?" A green fairy-like creature came in to my room.

"Who are you and how did you get in here?" I quickly blurted out.

"Well, the window is open so I thought I'd invite myself in." I looked at my window and realized it was really open. Jack must be out again. He never closes the damn window.

"My name's Tooth." she said. I quickly glared at her remembering what Bunny said about her being someone to Jack.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Hey, don't worry. I'm not here to fight. I heard everything about you from North and the others." She uninvitedly sat on my bed and crossed her legs.

"I have your memories, Alice. That's why I know... I know what you've been through."

I looked away realizing this creature know everything... everything I am. I don't want anyone to remember who I was.

"Say what you need to say now!" I shouted.

"Alice, I know something you don't know. Something that was taken away from you!"

"W-what...?" I asked.

Tooth walked towards me and held my hand.

"You were so young that time. That's why you refused to believe. You refused to believe on what really happened."

My whole body started to shiver. I can hear faint screams in my head.

"Alice, remember what she made you do. Remember who really destroyed your life!"

Shut up.

Shut up.

"SHUT UP!" I shouted as I held Tooth's arms tightly. I felt the black 'things' from before come out of my back.

"You don't know anything! You never should've! Listen, little fairy. I'm am as dangerous as hell if there is. Now, I'm giving you the chance to fly away and save yourself from me!" I finally got myself to let her go and stop those black 'things'.

Before fleeing, Tooth looked back at me and said, "Your otherside is the reason why you're having a miserable life."

There, all by myself again. Confused by what is real and what is not. Tears rolled down from my eyes. I am lost in my own world.

"Lacie... please... tell me everything." I whispered as I fell onto my knees.

"You might want to reconsider what you want to ask of me." she finally replied after a few moments.

I raised my head and saw her in front of me. She wiped off my tears and leaned towards me.

"My dear, Alice. Please understand that what I did was for your own good."

"What did you do... WHAT DID YOU DO?!" I cried.

"Alice, I protected you from the people who wanted to take advantage of you."

It was a hundred years ago, yes Alice, you were alive that long. Your village had a prophecy about the coming of the Child of Misfortune. There, by the Black Springs, you and me came to life. No one but a shadow of unknown took care of us. We never knew his face. After ten years, we decided to show ourselves to the villagers not knowing the danger we bring. The people, frightened by our existence, tried to kill us. You were too feeble, my dear Alice. You couldn't protect yourself. That was when it revealed itself, the Black Fox. Unlike other beasts, this one has ten tails. And what's worse, I used them to exterminate the villagers. Oh, Alice, if only you saw how majestic your true form is. You cannot wield the power of the Black Fox. That's why I took it all, as your other side, preventing it to take over you, the one who holds our soul.

We wandered for many years just to be away from that place. We've met many kinds of people, those who accepts us were spared but probably died the other way and those who didn't... lost their lives taken by yours truly. We always felt the shadows following us. You got scared and had me take over. I tried to attack one but all was left were remnants of dark crystals. We took the crystals and traded it for food and other things we might need. And of course, those who received the crystals got unlucky. Interacting with the child of misfortune was a suicidal activity that time. Then, the deadly winter came. Everything was cold, even if you switched places with me it was no use. The cold was too much leaving us frozen in a cave for 300 years.

As years go by, the Black Fox looses it's power. We became more... approachable. The ice melted, freeing us. The misfortune we may cause to someone weakened. We became a little bit normal. But I've taken most of the damage. You should consider yourself lucky, but I know you can't. The Black Fox is became me. It's no longer a seperate soul from us. The Black Fox and I merged but I was able to contain it. You should be very thankful of me Alice. I did everything to protect you.

Then you met Jack...

But before that, I must confess something to you... There was never a family. There was never a father who left you and a mother who tortured you. I made everything up. That is to make you forget of the past. To give you a normal life. That's the least that I can do. But believe, Alice. I don't know anything about the moon. All I ever knew was that we needed to survive that's why we had to kill all those people. This power is a burden to us.

Honestly, I believe the moon is being unfair. If he is good, he should've known that we ourselves forsake our own being. Alice, we never meant to be the villain. It is the one who created us should be blamed for every damn thing that we had to experience. When you first told me about Jack, I already had the feeling, feeling of something bad is going to happen. But I stayed quite and decided to watch. But when we approached the moon, I felt uneasiness all over. The moon scared me, allowing the Black Fox to free itself from my grip. Alice, believe me. I tried to stop it during your conversation with North but I'm getting weaker and weaker. I can no longer fully control the Black Fox. Alice, I am not against your love for Jack because I know you are two creatures bound with a twisted fate. I will sacrfice myself for your happiness. That I promise to you.
