"Loonatics we have a problem, at acmetropolis downtown"

Zadavia said urgently on the screen.

"What's the problem doc?"

Ace asked.

"The mayor contacted me, for you all can handle the situation. A wild coyote was caught running around causing havoc in the city, it's at the Acmetropolis Animal Shelter"

"Why can't they control it?"

Danger Duck asked annoyed.

"Because Duck, they were hoping Tech can talk some sense into this wild coyote that's on the loose. Good luck. Zadavia out."

The screen went black as the intercom disconnected. Ace smirk looking towards his team.

"Alright gang, its not our normal mission but you heard the boss lady. Let's jet"

*Few Minutes Later*

The sound of ruckus was heard, people yelling and screaming as they tried to take pictures of the coyote while the workers of the animal shelter tried pushing the coyote into the cage. The coyote almost escaped but the people began to abuse it in the process of breaking one of the hind leg. The coyote growled and snarled at the people and began to howl as a sign for help. Just then the heroes arrived on their jet packs.

"Wow, wow everyone calm down"

Lexi said raising her hands trying to push the people back as well as Slam and Rev.

"Geez it's like nobody ever seen a coyote before"

Danger Duck said nudging Ace.

"Alright, Tech what do you make..."

Ace said trailing off as he saw Tech standing next to the cage rubbing his hand and a growling coyote with ears flat down.

"What happened?"

He asked with a raised eye brow.

"She almost bit me"

Tech said as he looked at his hand and regenerate it using his power so it was all better.

"Okay, let's put a muzzle on her and then let's take her back to HQ"

*Moments Later*

Everyone voted to leave the coyote in Tech's lab since he is a coyote, then the wild coyote will be more comfortable with one of her kind.

"I don't understand, why are the people making such a big deal over one coyote?"

Lexi asked confused as she sat on the couch.

"Because they were exiled"

Tech answered looking up at the screen that pop out in a holigram slide.

"They were never part of society mostly in deserts. They are just normal coyotes scavenging, hunting, etc. Which makes it so rare to see a normal coyote in the city, in this year 2772"

"Are there more?"

Ace asked

"I'm not sure"

"Maybe you can ask your new best friend in there"

"It doesn't hurt to try and besides I don't even know if it talks but I'll try"

*In Tech's Lab*

Tech walked to the back of his lab where the coyote was tied up laying down on a mat. He slowly got close to her and heard her growl lowly but the muzzle prevented her from snapping her teeth. He then unlock the chain and yanked on it gently to signal her to walk. The coyote obediently tried to walk on all four but one leg was wounded. Tech helped her to the table as she laid down, he then began working on cleaning and bandaging up her leg. The coyote had her eyes narrowed on him the whole time. Tech felt her eyes on him but decided to see if she can talk.

"So do you have a name?"

The coyote remained silent.

"Can you talk?"

Silent

"Are you shy?"

Nothing, Tech finally came to a conclusion that she couldn't talk.

*3 Days Later*

It has been three days since they rescued the coyote. They were planning to release her back into the wild once her leg heals. Tech got used to having the coyote even though he is the only one talking.Tech was in his lab working on his gadgets trying to make improvements, he then heard his door slide open to reveal his leader.

"Hey Tech how's it going?"

Ace asked as he looked at what his team member was working on.

"Nothing much just making improvements"

"And what about our guest?"

"She has finally stopped growling and trying to bite, so I took off the muzzle but she is still chained."

"How's her leg healing?"

"Nicely no infection but in two weeks I'm gonna remove the stitches"

"Great. I hope she gets better soon. Have you thought of a name for her?"

Tech looked at Ace with a raised eye brow.

"Umm...no I haven't. Why?"

"Because I was thinking it would be better we give her a name instead of calling her it or coyote"

"I suppose I could think of one later"

"Alright then Tech, so you at dinner time"

Tech nodded and went back to working on his gadget.

"My name is Natalie"

Tech lift up his head and turn to the direction of the female voice towards the coyote who was sitting down looking at him with curiosity.

"...and for your information there is a difference between talking and not wanting to talk"

Natalie said in a bored tone. Tech was surprise and got up as he made his way towards the coyote.

"I didn't know you could talk from all the silence you kept giving me"

Natalie scoffs while rolling her eyes.

"Yeah its called the 'silent treatment' genius"

She said sarcastically. Tech shook his head and glared at her.

"Hey! For your information I am a genius as you can see I build this, everything in here"

"Yeah I kind of notice that you seem to leave a signature in everything you do"

She said scanning the lab and back to Tech.

"Thanks....I think"

"So since I decided to finally speak...are you going to release me from my prison and take me back to my natural habitat"

"Um no, I need to ask you a couple of questions"

"Ugh why"

Natalie said with a whine as she laid down on the laid with her ears flat down.

"Its proto call"

"Fine ask away"
