The trailer door opened with a bang, my body jolted to the harsh sound. Rubbing my tired eyes I looked over beside me and Peter was now back in human form, no less, naked. Still asleep. He had been knocked out cold. The turn must take a lot out of him. Just as my elemental powers take all the energy out of me. I could feel my face radiate heat off like a furnace, now realizing Roman had been standing in the door with a raised brow.

"Didn't know Peter had company over." His tone was sharp, he even sounded somewhat possessive as if me being in the trailer caused a spark of resent.

"No, no. We fell asleep he was in his werewolf form." I paused after what I had said, why did I feel the need to defend myself? I wasn't dating Roman. I swore he hated me half the time because I was such a burden on him.

Roman wasn't one to miss an opportunity to disparage me however, "I didn't know you were into that kind of thing." He added defaming me. My face changed drastically, showing pure disgust as my lip had curled, "You're so revolting!" I hissed pushing on his chest as he stumbled back from the force.

The two of us had spun our heads to Peter's sleeping body as he stirred from our voices yet he never woke up. I had been side-eyeing Roman with a scowl as I made my way to where Peter was sleeping throwing a blanket on his body so he was covered.

"I need to speak to you. Now." I snarled as I gave a forceful push once more on Roman's broad chest with my forefinger. He had looked down on me, as I opened the trailer door to the outside pulling him by the collar of his shirt. He had stumbled after me, pushing him out the door first as I closed it behind me.

My eyes were still adjusting to the morning light. Roman slicked his hair back casually, his eyes studying me. I could tell he wanted me to explain myself as to why I was at Peter's and why he found us the way he did. "I don't understan—"

"Shh stop talking, just stop." I had cut him off completely not caring what he had to say at this moment. He blinked several times appalled by how I spoke. Covering my eyes from the sun rays, "I think the Vargulf was watching me from in the woods. Chasseur found me, he said another killing happened exactly where I was... Kilderry Park. Then he was on his way, taking me home but the Upirs attacked the vehicle." I explained Roman had cut in "I want to talk to you about what happened yesterday. At the white tower."

"No, that can wait. Roman, I need you to tell me everything you know about those sick... things. It's not just me they're after but you've been a target too. Not just you but your Upir friend. Annie."

Roman stepped back, "How do you know Annie? I never told you about her." I gave a small sarcastic laugh, "What? Did you think I was just born today? That you could keep another Upir from me? Am I stupid to you or something? You're actually pathetic." I snarled, rolling my eyes and shaking my head, taken aback.

I paused after hearing myself, why was I so mad? Annoyed. I still felt a rage from Roman's mom showing up at my doorstep and the way Roman looked at me like I was his next meal yesterday and the day before that when all Roman cared about was answers after my premonition.

"Oh, right cause you aren't any better. You have this ancient blood in you and you're all talk. You're the worst kind of person. You can't be alone without getting into some sort of trouble and then expect me to swoop in and save you every time." Roman, without knowing had started a war that he didn't see coming. His tongue was sharp and he didn't have to even pause to think what he had to say. Clearly, he's been rehearsing how he felt. Waiting for the right moment.

"Oh I'm sorry I never asked for your help. You're this stuck up rich boy who thinks he can do whatever he pleases and expects people to bow down to you. Not in this world Roman. You say I'm the worst type of person. You couldn't even save Miranda or your own baby."
