Shinigami eyes (Death note)

"What do you mean you're leaving Japan?" L asked and although his voice was neutral there was a hint of expasperation laced through it.

"Relax, Celia really needs me for a job and it's not out of Japan, I just said out of the city." I say calmly making him settle down.

"And if it's big news Murderer around Japan, why didn't Kira kill him?" He asks suspiciously and I sigh. L already had all the answers, he just wanted me to repeat them.

"Because this guy thinks two steps ahead of time and no one knows his name or his face. They call him the Rattle snake." I say and he makes a funny face.

"I've heard of this murderer, always wondered why they named him the rattle snake to be honest. I'd never taken the time to study it." He says. I roll my eyes with a small smile.

"you're too absorbed in the Kira case. They call him or her, the Rattlesnake for a couple of reasons. First there are always a few signs when the rattle snake is going to kill hence when you hear the rattle snakes rattle and the hiss. Next is that when the rattle snake attacks it's quick, vicious and he's gone before anyone can arrive." I say and he nods.

"Interesting. And why does Celia need you to do this case?" He asks curiously.

"Because no one else seems capable of finding the rattlesnake. They can't find hair samples, foot prints, blood, anything. And we both know what happens when murderers can't be found." I point out and he nods.

"They either turn to a brilliant detective such as myself or they go the more brutal route, hiring an assassin such as yourself to finish the job." He says and I give a shrug.

"Yes well they initially wanted to get you on the case but they quickly discovered you wouldn't be able as you are working on the Kira case. They were about to hire a different assassin seeing as I am as well and Celia gave me a quick call explaining the details. It intrigued me, so I decided to take a break from the Kira case and track down the rattlesnake." And he shakes his head.

"The rattlesnake. Such an interesting name." He says, sounding vaguely amused.

I finish tying my boots and head out of the task force headquarters, grabbing my backpack on the way out and throwing a final goodbye over my shoulder at L. I hurry to the car already waiting for me and get in, throwing on some sunglasses.

"Hello V." Celia said as she drove the car off, sunglasses covering her eyes.

"Hey Celia. So where too?" I ask.

"Not far really, Shibuya. After calculating all of their steps it's said they should end up there for their next attack." She replies and I tisk. Likes a crowd.

"Did you bring all of the necessary tools?" I ask and she points to the back where my precious weapons waited. I had left them at base back in England because I'd had a feeling I wouldn't need them on the Kira case, but this case was a completely different story. My eyes scanned over the weapons finally landing the three things I needed.

1) A single twelve inch dagger

2) A small bottle of poison

3) And a pen that was really a knife.

I put the knife in it's sheath in my boot, the bottle of poison in the hidden pocket in my jacket, and the pen in my coat pocket, knowing if someone did find it they woudn't discover it as an actual knife and as for the others, well those won't be suspected either.

"Alright what's the story?" I ask as I tie my hair back in a single ponytail and then a bun. Hair was a big problem with fighting, they could easily use it against you. It was always best to just put it back so it couldn't be used against you. My jacket was also bullet proof and my neck was pretty covered as well. However I woud probably ditch the bullet proof vest underneath as backup and the thing on my neck protecting me as well. They were unncessary and if it was up to me I wouldn't even have the jacket if it wasn't where I kept alot of my weapons. Normal humans couldn't kill me and so it was pretty ridiculous to need all of it but Celia would flip if she found out I'd ditched it.
