"Our next guess for this evening has amassed fans across the globe with his famous dimpled face and charismatic personality. His voice of an angel, serenading millions of Chinese citizens and foreign fans. This man was born and a home grown of Shanghai. He is part of the elitist and popular in general public. Let's give a hand for Mr. Xu Wei Zhou!"
Once the MC of the night stopped talking, everyone in the audience, including the person on stage, clapped their hands together. The sound was deafening that went straight to all with open ears. Everywhere, smiles duplicate the people around the room, each and everyone with teeth showing. Hollers were aimed at the stage as the man named Xu Wei Zhou came on the stage.
When Zhou Zhou finally stopped in the middle of the stage, the MC of the event handed him a microphone. There was a hint of abash on his face as he crossed the platform. It might have to be the way he was dressed informal; his clothes consisted of white shirt and black jeans with brown loafers covering his feet.
"Hello, Everyone!" Zhou Zhou greeted the whole room with his energetic voice. The charisma oozes out his stature as he stood in front of the thousands of people in the room. "I'm sorry for my attire for today. Thank you, Vogue, for inviting me for this event in such short notice. I appreciate it very much, and I'm happy to accept this award from you guys. Thank you to Vogue, my fans, everyone in the room, and the people at home watching!"
He bowed a ninety degrees and left right after handing the wireless mic to the MC. Another bowed and sent heart shaped fingers to the viewers across the stage. Once he exited, Zhou Zhou's surrounding gradually quieted as he descended upon a flight of stairs. Couple of celebrities in the back stage acknowledge him while the rest were a snob and barely lookup form their phones. No matter, Zhou Zhou felt high spirited even if he was tired as he got right off from his work to come over for this event.
Finding one of his manager for the evening, Zhou Zhou went to talk with the woman.
"Zhou Zhou, you've have an interview after this with a bunch of press for Vogue. I've done what you asked me to about those chocolates, and used Shengyin for it. Keep in mind, the post you put up last night - They're going to be asking questions about that and who it is about. Even your fans after the function and before you get inside your car, they'll be up on you like ants all over sugar and honey. Remember to think before you say something. This is for your own good."
Zhou Zhou nodded along as he listened to his current manager. When she was finished, the older woman led him to a path where celebrities conducted Q&As with the press people. Three breathe cycles stopped Zhou Zhou's nerves, and the automatic smile came on as he faced the crowd of madness in front of him. He stood still with his artificial beam aimed lenses of the reporters and their mic with company logos hovering underneath his figure.
Miles away from the venue, a man's eyes glued towards the small screen held in his hands. His focused was so intense that his world faded to black, his thoughts only worked for the person he was viewing in his cellphone.
"Jing Yu, son. What are you watching? There's a perfectly fine large television over here." A slight older and matured version of Jing Yu staring at him.
His head turned to his right, and said, "Ba, I know. I'm just keeping up with some news that's not being shown on tv."
Right after finishing his words, the doorbell rang signaling him to go get it before his dad does.
"I got it." Jing Yu rushed towards the entrance where the sound originated from. His father shook his head at how his son's action reminded him of the childhood memories they both shared.
Breathing in and out deeply, his hand darted to the doorknob. Turning the door handle, Jing Yu raised his eyebrows at the person's head bowed down. A curtain of long, shoulder length of blonde hair covered his face, preventing Jing Yu from finding out if the person was a female or not. He cleared his throat, gaining the person's attention. That got the person in front of him to look up from the paper he had in his hands.
An astonished expression flashed across the man's face then quickly disappeared as he looked up from the paper. The person schooled his face as he stood in front of Jing Yu.
"What can I help you with?"
The person bit his pinked lips as he handed out a brown box to Jing Yu. His whole uniform consisted of thick coat that blocked ShengYin's logo written on his back. "Hello, Sir. I'm Guan Lin from ShengYin corporation. I have a package for Mr. Huang Jing Yu. If you may sign this, I will be out of your way."
Jing Yu took the paper from Guan Lin's hands then gave the copy back. Guan Lin placed the small brown box at the palms of Jing Yu. He stared longing at the man with a box.
"Okay," Jing Yu pronounced slowly, wearied at Guan Lin. "Is there anything else I can help you with?"
ShengYin's delivery man bobbed his head.
"Could I take a picture with you please?" Guan Lin's phone was already in his fingers showing his camera app already working to Jing Yu. "I'm a really big fan of yours!" His eyes twinkled oh so brightly.
"Uh- sure?"
Jing Yu finished the little fan service he made. He got up in his room and locked the door. Took some sharp object and opened it by stabbing at the middle and ran it through.
"To Huang Jing Yu, From Zhou Zhou, the ZhouYu cult leader." The sender's calling card brought an immense laughter from Jing Yu. He gently folded the paper inside one of his locked drawers. There were special thin papers crumpled around a little box.
Upon taking it off, eyes turned into round saucer plates at the four small boxes of Chocolatier Company. It contained four different kinds of chocolates. They were the regular chocolates, white chocolates, dark chocolates and pure cocoa dark chocolates. Reaching for the dark chocolate ones, he opened one and popped a portion into his mouth.
A moan escapes as he enjoyed the delicious taste of the bittersweet of the chocolate. Grabbing his phone from his back pocket, Jing Yu sent a thank you message to his lover.
