When we finally get to the center of Eastbourne, I see Whisper sitting before the lake that leads to the royal palace. Yes, there is a royal palace, it's where all of the off duty Guardians and all of the Warriors live. And of course the Queen, Whisper.
"Whisper?" I say timidly, afraid that if she is seeking a vision I would mess her up. She turns around and a graceful smile lights up her face when she sees me.
"Echo! I am so glad that you are here we have a lot to talk about." She said seriously.
"Ok. Well do you want to talk here or the palace?" I ask
"The palace it is much too open here anyone could hear us." She clarified. She stepped into the lake, taking my hand for me and Fray to follow her, then I held my breath as she dove into the lake towards the palace.
_
I took a deep breath of fresh air as we entered the palace. Whisper looked around and told Fray to go back to her post in the forest. Whisper guided me to her room, even though I had been there so many times before in my sixteen years, she keeps hold of my hand. Once we enter her room she lets go of my hand and quickly turns locking the door and securing it with strong and sturdy vines.
"What's the matter?" I ask sincerely concerned for my best friend. She sighs, "I've been having visions about boy."
"So what? You have been having visions about a cute boy. I don't see a problem with that."
"No! That is not what I meant. I mean I think there is someone else like you. A human with the gift to see Fayes." I sit up straight at this. Another human who can see Fayes. It's not only weird for me but it is terrifying for the Faye that live here. If we aren't careful he could spill the secret, of course everyone would think he is crazy. There are other realms for Fayes to live in but Orilon is the biggest which is why the Queen lives here. So he could have been in different realms, but you never really know.
"So you think there is another human that is like me? That can see Fayes? That can see you? Find you or Orilon?" I asked her in a hurry wanting to find out more about this mysterious boy who can supposedly see the Faye.
"Yes, but there is a problem. I cannot sense a good or bad mood coming from him which means I do not know if he will be trouble for us or not. But I can also feel his presence getting stronger. I think he is coming here, to Aeredale." She says worriedly.
"Well, since you can't go into the human realm then I'll keep and eye out for you." I offer her.
"You would do that for me for my kingdom and all of the Faye?" She asks excitedly.
I look at her and say, "Of course I would you're my best friend, Whisper. I would do anything for you."
"YES! Please watch for him in your world. It would do you a great honor with the people of Orilon." She says grabbing my hands.
I smile at her, but then I feel a sharp pain in my lower stomach, "Ahh!" I crouch down as I feel the pain increase. Whisper looks at me, then calls for Lauren, the Faye healer. I scream at the top of my lungs, but before I can say anything else I black out, fading into the darkness.
_
When I wake up, I see Whisper and Lauren standing across the room talking to each other. Lauren looks over and see me awake. Both her and Whisper come over to me and start explaining. " Echo, I have checked your stomach. There was nothing wrong internally, but you have bruises all over your ribs and stomach. I also found some kind of magic that is tracing back to you. I have managed to trace this magic to a rouge Pixie named Killian. He left his realm to live in the human world, but I have no idea why his magic is traced to you. For now just go home and try not to think about it so much and if you have anymore pains in your stomach like this come here immediately."
I look over at Whisper. "Yea, ok. And Whisper I will keep an eye on that thing for you. Lauren, I will come back if I have anymore pains. Thank you."
Lauren leaves to go check up on one of her patients. " I will just portal you back to the entrance of Orilon. Just so that you will not have to go through the lake."
I hug her then wait for her to open the portal so I can go home, "Goodbye for now, Echo."
"Goodbye Whisper." I say before I step through the portal. I end up at the tree where I was few hours ago. I say bye to Fray the run though the middle of the woods to home. When I finally get through my window to my bedroom, I notice my mom sitting on my bed with a glass of wine in her hands. She always did like her drinks.
She looks at me, " I have tried and tried to make you into my perfect daughter that I have always wanted, but I have given up now. It's completely hopeless. You're grounded for a month, school then home if you need to go to the library then I will take you. Oh, and you're still going to Dr. Wes' every Friday, but I will be in the room with you when you go."
"WHAT! No you can't do that those are private!" I scream after I take in what she said.
"A month and a half." She says calmly.
I groaned as she walks out of my room. I don't even know how she opened my door, I'm too exhausted to ask though. As soon as my head hit my pillow I fell into a pit of blackness.
