"Are you sure this is going to work?" Idris asks hesitantly

"Yes, it should just do not disturb me while I am concentrating." Willow states like it's the most obvious thing in the world. We slit our hands with the knife that she gave us and let our blood into drip into the small glass bowl she had in front of us.

"There. Now I will be able to tell exactly why you two feel the need to protect each other when you just met last week." After that she shooed us off and began to concentrate on the visions.

"Have they told you? About why we were all in that room talking without you?" Idris asked out of the blue.

"No. I haven't been back here since that day. I haven't ever felt that lonely. My whole entire life I was bullied for "being crazy" but that didn't matter because I had Whisper and Autumn. They were always there for me. Told me everything. So you can imagine the shock that I got when I found everyone was in that room, besides me, swapping secrets." He sighed deeply after I finished my ranting.

"Look I'm sorry. It's just.. there's something special about us and I would rather wait until we are done with this situation before I explain everything to you." This caught my attention. What could possibly be so special about us? Other than the fact that we have some type of weird, protective bond over each other.

After a few hours Whisper finally comes out of the room pale and dazed. We didn't know anything yet. Nobody was let into the room except for Lauren, mainly because if anything went wrong she would be there to help Whisper.

"What did you see?" Idris is the first to break the unbearable silence.

"I-I am not really sure. Most of it was blurry but there was one thing. There is a darkness, a struggle, a type of evil I haven not seen since two-thousand. A year before both of you were born. It started using less magic around October of two-thousand and one but it became completely dormant on April sixteenth the next year." she says clearly shaken up from this new discovery.

"Wait. October two-thousand one? I was born October seventeenth." Idris says. October seventeenth. I made a mental note of that since it was his birthday.

"And April sixteenth is Echos. Both of your births made this evil dormant I guess it was waiting for the right time to come back."

"How does it know what the right time is?" I ask speaking for the first time.

"When Idris came to town I told you I felt some sort of darkness. When you two met a week ago I could feel it getting stronger. It was waiting for you two to be drawn to each other so that it can go through you to get back to where it was all of those years ago. Your bond will get stronger and when it does so will it. My guess is that it will be its strongest on April sixteenth. Since that is the day that it went dormant."

"So does this  mean that we have to stay away from each other?" I say worriedly

"No. You are both each others strength just as much as you are each others weakness. If you stay away you will both be weak and it will attack you both individually. The stronger you are the better you will be able to fight it off." Whisper explains and a huge amount of anxiety lifts off of my shoulders I was barely able to stay away from him for a week. I couldn't even begin to imagine not seeing him for a whole eight months.

"You have to be careful though. Idris' birthday is only in about two months. Which means the bond will be getting stronger and so will it. You have to learn to protect each other no matter what happens."

"What's its name?" I ask curiously

Whisper stiffens then clears her throat "Her name is Silas."

So it's a her. I wonder how Whisper knows so much about this. Whisper was so young when all of this occurred. Her mother and father were still King and Queen. Whisper was only about eleven then. Why would she know so much about everything?

"Whisper?" I call out quietly

"Yes, Echo?" She says back almost immediately

"How do you know so much about this? I've done the math. You were only about eleven."

She sighs, "Silas.. Silas is my sister. She lashed out when she found out from my father that I was to be Queen. She wanted power. She wanted to rule. I guess that is why my father decided to give me the title. He did not want somebody who was so power hungry to rule his kingdom after him. I was always the quiet one out of me and Silas. I was always dragged into her crazy schemes of pranking the maids and filling our fathers office with caged pixies. She was so cruel. nobody knew why or how she became to be the way she is. She always skipped classes with my mother when she was teaching us about how to rule, how to use our powers, and the people we would have to protect if we were to be chosen to become Queen. After she found out about it she ran off to Ashbourne. She was fourteen but her powers were much greater than her age. She started to gain Ashbournes trust and loyalty. They wanted her to rule so she created an army and planned a sneak attack on the kingdom. At the time my visions had not been strong enough for me to focus on one exact thing. They would come and go. i couldn't control them so I didn't know that her army was coming. She killed our mother and father. She came after me next but before she was able to go through with killing me, she started coughing up blood and then I ran. I ran for my life. I went to one of the passage ways and hid there until I was sure all of them were gone. I did not know why Silas freaked out like that. After a few hours I had a vision and I saw you, Echo. You saved me from death, from my own sister. You both are a barrier from her using her magic for evil. Echo was strong enough to stop her and save my life when she was an infant and by herself. Just think of what both of you could do now, sixteen seventeen years later and together at that."
