I curl in a ball as I let the tears run down my cheeks. I hug my knees and let it all out. Wait....... my leg...

I jumped up and examined my left leg. Nothing. All that was left was a scar above my ankle. A big, deep scar.

I sighed in relief. though it still felt like a dagger was stabbing my left leg repestingly, it was not bleeding.

"Light!" Swifts voice rang threw my ears, I smiled at his voice. I wiped away the dry tears and turned around to face him. "Swift!" I shouted and he dashed into my extended arms. I hugged his tightly as he purred as he nuzzled his face in my neck.

"Where were you?" I asked. "That does not matter, how is your leg?" he asked as we separated from the emotional hug.

"Hurts like crazy, but healed." I replied and Swift let out a sigh of relief. "Good, we camp here tonight. By tomorrow you will be able to walk." Swift explained and I nodded not wanting to bring up the nightfury...

Nightfall soon passed by me and Swift skipping stones on the lake together.

We were about to go to bed when it showed up.... the nightfury.

It walked slowly up to me and Swift. I held Swift to my chest and his digged his claws into my right arm.

"Wh-wh-what do y-you want?" I chocked out.

It said nothing. It just came closer, at the same slow pace.

I held Swift tighter as the nightfury got closer.

Before I knew it, it was sitting down. Right before me. It examined me. Probably noticing my long, strait black hair and green eyes easily. Taking in my black fur boots, loose blue t-shirt and dark green leggings. My brown leather belt with different kinds of teeth hanging from it on strings and my black cloak.

I noticed its eyes were ocean blue with white tints. nose slightly flared and eyes locked with mine.

"Hi." It said, female by the voice. "Whats your name?"

I hesitated. "L-l-light." I forced out.

the female smiled at me. "My name is Moon. And I been wondering.... is your leg any better?" The female, or Moon, asked.

"Yes. Just hurts." I answered, calming a bit.

"Ah, so you are the dragon whisperer? I dreamed of the day we would meet!" Moon cheered with a big toothless grin.

Why is dragon that tried to kill me and Swift being a sugar and lolipops?

"Wait, didnt you try to kill me?" I asked crossing my arms over my chest.

"No. Why? Did it seem as if I was?" Moon asked incessantly. I shifted. I dont know if I can trust this dragon or not. I am scared if I do. But if I dont? I dont know what will happen!

"When you tried to bite Swifts head off." I smirked. "There was a bug on his head and I was trying to scare it off." Moon answered.

"Then why were you growling?" I pushed. "Same reason, to scare the bug off," She said calmly which surprised me.

"How about when you yelled 'I found you'" I questioned.

"I wanted to talk but you just ran away."

"But you were growling at us, and I heard Swift crying and screaming behind me." I loosened up a bit.

"I was purring and telling him jokes and showing him how bad an artist I was." Moon giggled.

I looked down at Swift who was still in my lap. He nodded a slow yes. and I looked up back at Moon.

"How do I know I can trust you?"

"Who do you think stopped the bleeding?" She asked back.

Realization washed over me. I feel so stupid for being so rude to Moon now. I can trust her. Right?
