I was on the main deck, my wrists tired together behind my back. The whole crew was starring at me, most of them were women along side a few men with bushy beards. I was frightened, to tell the truth, frightened to the core. Why would they drown me? ME! I didnt do anything to these people... as i know of at least.
"Today!!" I women that claimed to be Dean's mother shouted standing on the higher deck, as she must be the captain. "Today we drown the Dragon Whisper!" Is this what this is all about? This so called destiny i have no idea about? The one i am pretty sure isn't mine. I mean, i am pretty sure tons of other people can talk to dragons just like me. Tons. But yet i am punished for it? I don't think it's fair for being just who i am.
"From this moment forth, we will be gods! As we will be the ones to kill the girl who claims to be The All Mighty Doom of Master." Dean's mother continued, lots of cheers coming from the crowd around me. 'The all mighty doom of master'? i ask myself. What does that even me? And why do they that's me? It is most certainly not me.
I continue to think as Dean's mother kept giving her little speech, Dean standing at the steps that connect the main to the upper deck, staying quiet.
Before I knew it, someone grabbed my arm and started pulling me towards the edge of the deck. "No! No, no, no, no, no." I tried to back away put the women kept pulling me. "Please!" I begged as the women picked me up by the back of my shirt and lifted me out of the air. She put me over the edge, if she let me go I would plummet into the sea. "I didn't do anything wrong!! i promise it on my mothers life!!" I cry, looking down at the water below. i could already see the herd of thunderdrums and scoldron, waiting to rip me apart limb by limb. Why, i could almost feel there teeth in my skin and the tugging on my legs. I would be dead in only seconds down there.
I closed my eyes tightly, muttering a short prayer i remember my mother use to say before she went on a quest. Tears ran down my cheeks, as i tried not to cry out loud, i wouldn't let them take all of my pride. No, that's not how mother raised me. So i kept quite, waiting for death to come. Waiting for my leg to be ripped off with a single tug, reading to be paralyzed by a thunderdrums mighty roar, ready for as a scream out in pain for water to invade my lungs and i might just drown before i am eaten if i am lucky. But, death never came to claim my soul.
"Wait!!!" Someones voice called out, starting me. There voice was high, squeaky even. Not manly at all.Though the voice did belong to a man... probably a boy as the sounds of it. He was still loud. "Put my friend down. Right now!" within seconds my feet touch the solid wood floor of the main deck and i grabbed what pride i had left of me and opened my eyes. My cheeks were red from dry tears and my eyes bloodshot. I was trembling with fear but i still managed to stand strait and tall. "Are you alright?" The voice asked and a familiar boy came up to me. I knew that neat brown hair, and warm smile from anywhere.
"Ben!" I shouted, "I thought you disappeared!" I lied, as i actually forgot all about the wimpy Blackwing I got him a tight hug, my head resting on his chest as he wrapped his arms around me. He wasn't Adam, but at least i knew him.
"Everything is alright, Light. Everything will be okay." He whispered to me, rubbing my back gently, calming me down. After a minute or two i finally got my act together and took a deep breath. Ben let go of me so i could step back and finish what i started. He smiled at me and i smiled back.
"How did you get here? Why do they listen to you? How did you know I needed help?" I start asking him questions and he shrugged as a reply for each one, annoying me a bit. "Thanks." I said after awhile.
"Light?" A voice asked and my heart skipped a beat. That voice was so familiar to me, I could tell it from anywhere. My breath got caught in my lungs, as memories flooded my brain that they drained down into my heart. I slowly turned around too see the person i never wished to see again.
