Amber struggled to stay conscious as she was being examined and treated for her injuries. She could hear the doctors talking about burning some of the arteries because they couldn't get the bleeding to stop. They had confirmed that she indeed has broken bones and her other ankle was dislocated they had popped it back into place adding to the pain she was already in. Even though the pain was screaming through her body she could feel some of it starting to dissipate.
"We gave you something for the pain. But it will make you slightly dizzy"
Amber glanced at one of the nurses, who was holding a needle into her I.V. tube. When she finished she disposed of the needle and began to write down on a clipboard.
"W-will I will be okay?"
"The doctor was able to stop the bleeding so I think you'll be just fine. Just got a long road to recovery that's all"
She hesitated for her next question but found the courage to question the nurse more "Where are my friends?"
"Agent Fowler is briefing them in about the situation"
'So she does know about the Autobots.' Amber swallowed but her mouth was rather dry.
She could feel her body grow heavy and her mind became fuzzy, was this the medicine's doing? Or was it just her?
"If you feel like you need to throw up just let me know and we will help you up"
'Throw up? Why would I feel the need to thro-'
In an instant, she felt her throat grow moist and the foul bile rise, her eyes went wide an in an instant she threw her hand up in the air. The nurse quickly sat her up and had a bucket ready, just in time too. Amber couldn't hold it back as she began to vomit, her nose burned and eyes watered as she felt like it would never stop. When she felt like it was almost over she felt another wave of the foul taste fill her mouth and in a desperate attempt to get the vile substance off her tongue she spits into the bowl. Her stomach was now empty and all that came out now was heavy and ragged breaths. She blew her nose into the paper towel the nurse provided for her and used the back of her hand to wipe her tears.
"That sucked"
"Well I would imagine so" She pulled the bucket away and sat it down "Feel okay?"
"Kinda I don't hurt too much, but I do have a question"
"What is that"
"Why am I naked?" Amber looked down to see her side was bruised her arm was bandaged and her legs were nicked and cut up.
The nurse seemed rather surprised by the question, she set the bucket aside and offered a trash can for Amber to throw away the paper towels in.
"Because they had to check your chest for bruising which would be a sign of internal bleeding. Luckily you did not have any in your chest, you do have a few broken ribs among other injuries."
Amber nodded as she looked toward the window, she could vividly see everything that had happened to her, and she wondered if the Decepticons were going to try to take advantage of the Autobots while this was going on. She also wondered if the Autobot were worried about her, the sound of the door being slammed opened caught the attention of both her and the nurse before Amber could process what had happened a sudden weight to her chest and the feeling of the wind being knocked out of her from the pain caused her to exhale loudly.
"You're alive!"
That voice, Amber now realized she was being hugged. She blinked away a few tears that had formed from the pain and looked at Miko's hair which was the only thing she could see. When Miko pulled away she began to look Amber over as if ensuring she was there.
"They wouldn't let Jack and Raf back here"
"They shouldn't have allowed you back here either" The nurse sounded annoyed as she closed the still wide-open door.
Miko leaned in close as she whispered in Amber's ear "They didn't"
Amber looked over at the nurse for a moment before back at Miko "How is everyone?"
She gave her a dumbfounded look "Are you kidding? You're the one who is currently sitting in ICU with like a million tubes sticking out of you. You almost died. But you're worried if everyone else is okay?"
Amber nodded and Miko sighed "They're okay. Worried but okay"
"That's good." Amber began to realize how tired she was.
"Alright Miko, we need to let her rest she's going to need a lot of it if she's ever going to recover"
Miko nodded and waved goodbye before following the nurse out the door "Just call if you need anything"
Amber waited for the door to close behind them before she sighed and slowly leaned back into the bed, her body felt like it weighed nothing but still felt heavy, not as heavy as her eyelids though. Closing them she let herself fall asleep knowing how much she desperately needed it.

I will try to update regularly but I've got many many books in the works at the moment and it is hard to go from one to the other so thank you for being patient with me and I hope you enjoy this chapter!
