Optimus let his door open as Amber jumped out. She looked around to see other robots like Optimus, and her friends. Jack Miko, and Raf. They waved at her, and Amber stood awkwardly as she felt all eyes on her. Her arms and legs Burned from the asphalt and her head banged from the impact she endured just less than half an hour ago.
"So she's part of team prime?" Miko asked looking up at a large green robot and then at Optimus.
"At the moment Amber will be under our protection"
"Optimus you have to be joking, who will be her guardian?" A orange and white robot commented with a aggravated tone.
"I will be Amber's guardian" Optimus spoke with a calm tone.
Amber looked up at the large Prime.
"Alright! Amber's got the big guy!" Miko cheered.
Confused Amber looked up at Optimus.
"Guarding from what?" Amber asked in a small voice.
"The Decepticons"
"You mean the red car? What do they want?"
"A fair question Amber" Optimus kneeled down to be closer. "Megatron wishes to conquer earth and rule over it like he wanted to do with Cybertron"
"Cybertron? The Knockout car mentioned it" She looked at him the optics.
"That is were both the Decepticons and Autobots came from" Rafael answered her question.
"So you are here to protect us? Where is this Megatron now?"
"Currently it is hard to tell whether he is alive or deceased"
A blue robot that looked almost female like answered.
"So what do they call you all?" Amber looked around at them.
"My medical officer Ratchet. This is Bumblebee; he is Rafael's guardian. "
Optimus gestured at the orange and white robot who grimaced as if he wanted to be anywhere but here, and then to a yellow robot with door wings. He waved.
"Hello Amber" his voice came out in clicks and beeps but she understood him.
"Hello" she offered a small smile to them both.
"This is Arcee, and she is Jack's Guardian"
Amber looked over to the blue robot who offered a gentle smile. Jack stood beside her. The last one was large green bulky one where Miko sat on his shoulder.
"And this is Bulkhead" Optimus paused "he is Miko's guardian."
Amber looked around at the team that she had some how found herself in. She opened her mouth but the sound of ringing caught everyone's attention. Amber pulled her phone out and noticed it was call. Mom .
"Optimus I have to get home. My mom will panic if I don't"
She looked up at him. He nodded.
"I will accompany you home" he looked at the others "It may be best for all the children to be taken home"
Optimus transformed and opened the passenger door for her. Amber climbed inside and the door shut behind her. Prime waited till she put her seat belt on to drive out.
"Thank you for the ride home Optimus" Amber looked over at the steering wheel.
"You are Welcome" The symbol lit up with each word. "How are your injuries?"
"They should be okay, just have to clean them up"
Amber looked at her arms that were scraped red and small amounts of blood seemed to cling to her skin instead of drip down. Her legs were the same way. Amber looked up and noticed a mirror.
"Do you mind if I use this?" She touched the mirror.
"You may"
Amber unclipped her seat belt and she felt Optimus slow down. She propped herself on her sore and beat up knees as she looked in the mirror. Her forehead had a small gash on it. While her lip was busted and bruised. Almost as if she had just been in a fight. Sitting back in the passenger seat she put her seat belt back on.
"Thank you Optimus. For saving me and the boy" she paused "you probably saved our lives"
"Of course. Amber are presence on earth must not be told to anyone. If the Decepticons were to find out another human knew about us they would believe that they would be involved as well"
"I won't tell anyone" she paused "but doesn't that mean I too am in danger?"
"Unfortunately yes"
The ride was rather quiet from that point, and Amber leaned her head against the window.
Optimus pulled into the drive way of Amber's home. She thanked Optimus once more and jumped out of the large semi. Walking up to the front door she turned the knob and found it locked. Optimus had yet to drive off and Amber didn't really notice. Pulling out a bobby pin she picked the lock.
"Amber"
She jumped at the sudden sound and turned around with hands up in a karate stance only to see Optimus kneeled in front of her.
"Isn't this called breaking into a home and is against human laws?"
"Yes but this is my house so it isn't against any laws. I promise" she dropped her arms to her side and she turned around and continued to work with the lock.
The door opened and Amber smiled at herself.
"Have you broken human laws?"
Amber paused for a moment before clearing her throat.
"Y-yes?" She looked at the floor.
"And breaking these laws....can cause you to get into serious trouble, correct?"
"Yes" Amber felt as if she was being scolded.
"While I am your guardian. I will not be able to get you out of trouble with the human laws. "
Amber looked up at the prime. She nodded her head in understand meant. Optimus nodded back at her as he stepped back and transformed before driving away. Amber watched as the headlights from the semi slowly disappeared before she turned to walk inside.
