Darcy's POV

Katie wouldn't stop trying to wake me up for school.

I didn't know if she was ever going to give up or not.

"Darcy! You have school in fifteen minutes! What's it going to take?"

I lifted my head from the pillow and said, "A new car."

She said, "Ha ha very funny. Get dressed or I'm taking your phone away for a month."

Katie was all dressed for her new day at work, and May was ready to.

I absolutely hate school mornings especially now that I'm going to a new school.

I raised from my bed and looked at myself in my side mirror.

Yikes

I thought to myself as I saw my complexion looking at me.

I quickly got dressed in cool clothes, brushed through my hair, and did everything else I had to.

Katie asked me as I started walking out the door, "Darcy, breakfast?"

I replied, "No, I'm not hungry. I'm just going to walk to school."

She looked at me concerned.

I grabbed the door knob and said, "It's fine I saw the school yesterday when we came here."

She finally gave up and replied, "Okay, but stay safe and don't talk to..."

I rolled my eyes and said, "Bye!"

I slammed the door on my way out and started the walk there.

The cars roaming past me acted as if I were lost, so I just ignored them.

That was until this blue mustang pulled beside me and parked.

I stopped and looked at the people in the car.

All boys who were ugly pathetic drunks.

"Hey pretty lady, where'd you come from?"

I rolled my eyes and said, "Why don't you go crawl back into the sewers."

I wanted to continue walking but they surrounded me.

I looked at them in no hope of being rescued.

The one that talked to me threw me down to the ground.

He pulled a blade out on me but I still showed no fear.

I laid flat on my back and put my feet on his stomach literally kicking him off.

He wasn't as heavy as he looked.

Just then, a tall stranger came to my defense and began helping me beat one of them up.

The other ones that were in the car got so scared when they saw him.

One of them whispered to the other, "That's Dallas Winston."

I looked back up at the tall figure as he was beating the one to a pulp.

Dallas Winston is his name I guess.

And dang he is hot!

They all ran back to the car driving out of my sight.

I looked back at my rescuer and said, "So, I guess your Dallas Winston?"

He smiled and said, "People call me Dally."

I smiled back and said, "That's nice to know, Dallas."
