The name of the dance studio is........ TWO STEP DANCE COMPANY!!!!!!!!!
Everything is finally coming together.
My brother and I bought a building yesterday and they are renovating it into a dance studio.
It was a gym so there is not that much to do.
We are going to keep one room in the studio a gym for parents who want to work out while their kid is at practice.
It was Justin's idea.
I was impressed.
I had never thought of that.
Im just happy because they are only gonna be renovating for a month.
We also have hired two wonderful women for the front desk.
There names are Patricia and Karen.
They are so patient and kind they are going to be a wonderful fit.
I also have hired choreographers and instructors for the studio.
The instructors are going to be amazing.
The Joffery Ballet school is also going to pair up with us so we can do workshops their with their instructors.
I am also so pleased with the outcome of how many kids are on our waiting lists already.
We haven't even opened the studio yet but we have a waiting lists for out standard dance classes.
Although that is amazing we have yet to hold our auditions for the teams, but we plan to hold them tomorrow at the convention center all day.
Then we are also traveling to Orlando, Florida and holding auditions there the next day.
We plan to give five full paid scholarships and then offer ten host home scholarships.
The five full paid scholarships are just what they sound like they have all their dance classes, team expenses, costumes, and competitions paid for.
The ten host home scholarships are for dancers who live more than forty miles away from Los Angles.
They get the expenses to live in a host home paid for and are also provided a host home to live in.
TIME SKIP TILL THE NEXT DAY AT THE CONVENTION CENTER
"So Justin are you ready for today?" I ask my brother.
"Yea, thank you so much for asking me to join the judging panel" My brother tells me and I just smile at him in response.
"Ok so Nigel Lythgoe can you judge the technique of the dancer. Justin judge the stage presence. Mandy Moore could you judge the overall performance and Travis Wall can you join Nigel and judge technique." I tell my judging panel, in which they all nod their head in agreement.
The auditions went on and on for hours.
Some of them straight up were terrible but there were ones that were remarkable.
Those remarkable ones made all of this worth it.
And finally by the end of the day we had our finalists from the Los Angles audition.
We had twenty-two extra dancers in the mini company.
In the junior company we have eighteen extra dancers.
In the senior company we have twelve extra dancers.
In our elite company which is our team that is age 13-18 and is home schooled has thirty-five extra dancers.
We had an extraordinary turn out at the first auditions but now we have to head to Orlando for day two.
SKIP TO THE NEXT DAY AT THE ORLANDO CONVENTION CENTER
"Ok so everyone be looking at what I assigned you yesterday" I tell my co-judges.
TIME SKIP TO THE END
"Ok finally the last dancer just danced. I am so tired" Justin complained.
For the next 3 hours me and my judges placed girls on our mini team called Glitz, our junior team called Rebels, our senior team called Stars, and lastly our advanced dance company called the elites.
(SOME OF THE PEOPLE ARE MADE UP BUT SOME ARE REAL DANCERS!!!!)
