"I can't believe you Sue?! You caused trouble for me and your father again" Sinapo ni mama ang kanyang noo. Another bad news. Nakunan pala kami ng CCTV na malapit doon sa basketball nung isang araw.

I can't believe namukhaan kaagad nila ako. This morning nag complain yung may ari nung bahay na nabasagan namin . They just asked us to pay for the damage.

"You've been playing with that rubber ball again? Didn't I say you, don't touch anything that is related to gymnastics?"

"Nag laro lang naman ako ng saglit—" pinutol niya ako kaagad.

"An order is an order, why can't you never follow such easy directions Sue?! Hindi ka naman bobita para hindi maintindihan yun. You're smart and yet you use your knowledge agains't me or are you even using any of it?" Huminga ako ng malalim. I'm trying my best not to bite her back.

"I told you mom, hindi ko naman sinad—" hindi nanaman niya ako pinatapos.

"Sadya o hindi— the damage is done Mikayla! Sorry won't fix that broken glass, do you understand me very well?" Saad ni mama. She was walking back and fort.

"Do you really think causing trouble is cool? You look stupid!" I bit my lip. Wooh! Mag tigil ka Sue. I swear if you don't, hindi lang matatapos tong usapan na to. "Why can't you act like your sister? She knows what to do, she thinks before she acts" Nice! She pulled the sister card on me again. Okay, so much for trying.

"Cause I'm not like your favorite daughter ma!" Sabi ko. Napalingon si mama saakin. Masama siyang tumingin saakin, para bang sinasabi niya "You dare talk back to me?!"

"Bakit? It's true, Joana is always the better child between the both of us" Dagdag ko. Hindi makapaniwala si mama sa sinabi ko.

"Ano nangyayari dito?" I heard dad and exactly he came in the living room. Nilapag niya ang gamit sa sofa malapit kay mama.

"Tell Sue to stop answering back to me" Sabi ni mama.

"Well dad, tell mom to stop comparing me to my 'good for almost everything' sister kasi no matter what happens, I'll never be like her cause one thing for sure I'm not her" Sabi ko. Making my voice loud enough. I'm trying my best not tear up in this argument. I never cried in front of my parents before and that won't ever change.

"Anak, we just want you to change"

"You want me to change but do you think comparing me to Joana will help me? You know what? I prefer that you tell me right here, right now that I'm adopted so that I won't feel bad about myself" Sabi ko sakanila. Suck those tears up Sue. Don't show them that you're easily affected despite being a thick-headed daughter.
