"K-Kat?" He looks at the door not seeing Kat but seeing Colby. He smiles a bit and trys to sit up.
"No, no don't. I don't want you hurting." He sits beside Sam and grabs his hand hesitantly. Sam looks at him and squeezes his hand putting his other hand over it.
"I'm okay Colby I swear." Sam smiles at him genuinely. "I'm okay." Colby nods.
"Sam I need to tell you something." Colby was about to tell him that he likes him but Kat came in with a doctor and he let's go of his hand.
"Mr.Golbach. We have some news. You are sick and you might have to stay here for a few weeks. It's a temporary sickness but it's a bad one." Colby heard Sam sigh and looks at him.
"I'll be right back Sam." Colby gets up and leaves the room. Sam watches him and sighs again putting his head in his hands then the doctor leaves the room. Kat follows after Colby then Sam gets up and goes over to the door to hear their conversation.
"Colby what's wrong?" Kat says putting a hand on his shoulder. Colby looks up at her and whips the tears away. "Hey don't cry."
"He's my best friend Kat, and he's hurt. I don't like it when he's hurt. I love him too much that it hurts me too." He keeps crying and walks away and out of the building. Sam goes back to his bed and lays down turning on his side not wanting to look at Kat as she comes in after hearing what he just heard. Colby loves him? In a more romantic way? He doesn't know. All he wants to do is sleep. So that's what he does. He ends up falling asleep before Kat gets back into the room.
