It's been almost a month since Kathy last seen Nate. She was still depressed about what happened. She had finally decided to open her heart again. She had dove into work so she didn't have time to think of him. Only when she had stopped for the day and was lying in bed would thoughts of Nate haunt her dreams. The thought of him kissing her so sweetly, always had her confused. How could someone kiss you like that and be lying about his feelings.

Every time Nate had stopped by she would act like she wasn't home. She ignored all his calls and texts. She couldn't stand looking at him knowing what they had was one sided.

It was her day off so Lauren was taking her out. She didn't want to go but figured getting out the house might do her some good. She couldn't stay home and be depressed forever. So she agreed to go shopping with her best friend.

Letting Lauren in when she got here her face scrunched up. Kathy looked around; she knew that her place was a mess. She had planned on cleaning on her day off. Yet, she was going out with Lauren.

"Are you ready," Lauren asks.

Looking down at herself, "Um, why don't you give me a few minutes? I'm going to get cleaned up a little before we leave."

Going into her bathroom she could hear her best friend picking things up in her living room. 'Whenever I get over this, I really need to do something special for her' Kathy thought as she stepped in the shower.

After a good scrub and drying her hair she walked into her room to find that Lauren had laid an outfit out for her. Smiling she picked up the pair of tight fitting jeans she had bought a year ago. She had loved them and had to have them, she just never had anywhere to wear them to. After pulling them on she grabbed the fitted off the shoulder black shirt that was next to the pair of black velvet stilettos. She puts a matching earring necklace set on. Chuckling at how her best friend had set out an outfit that made her look sexy as could be. She decided to leave her long strawberry blonde hair down. She put a headband on to keep it out of her face though.

Looking at herself in the mirror she said, "I am so glad I have her. She knows how to make me feel better."

"You better believe it," Lauren said making Kathy jump.

"How long have you been standing there," She asks.

"Oh long enough to see the pain leave your eyes and joy appear," says her best friend, "alright lets go before the day disappears."

Laughing they leave the house.

When we get to the mall Kathy is drug to their favorite clothing store. They are look through the summer clothes that were put out early. When they get to the bikinis Lauren squeals about needing a new one.

'Oh god, James is going to kill me. I know better than to let her go clothes shopping,' Lauren was thinking when she felt a tap on her should. Turing around she freezes. There in front of her stand the woman that has caused her so much pain for the last month.

"What do you want," Kathy says with venom in her voice. How could this woman think she wanted to talk?

"I wanted to explain what was happening that day. I could never be with him," the woman says.

Kathy looks at her and asks confused, "what do you mean you couldn't be with him?"

"Well you see, I don't like men. Plus my wife would kill me if I cheated on her," the woman laughs.
