Church was finally over and I was more than happy to head home. Now don't get me wrong I don't mind giving God his time but my pops on the other hand like to keep folks longer than he should.
I waste no time leaving out the church cause I knew somebody was gonna try to stop and wanna talk. Going to my car I went to open the door when three girls come walking up to me with smiles on their faces.
"We enjoy your singing today Elijah" one the girls said as the other two giggle.
"Thanks I appreciate it" I gave them a smile back which only cause them to blush even more than they already was.
Not to sound vein or anything but what can I say I'm a good looking guy so all the girls be in my face.
"They must forgot you got a girl that's soon to be Mrs. Jackson" Erika said.
Erika is my girlfriend who I grew up with in the church. Erika is one of those sweet innocent girls that most guys would love to have.
Her parents have money meaning she's a spoil snobby brat.
"They only said they enjoy my singing today that's all" I pull her in for a hug.
"Mhm that's all they better had said, you coming by my parents house for Sunday dinner. Your father and mom coming over".
"Step mom and nah I'm kinda tired so I'll be at home sleeping".
"Please babe, I really don't want to be left alone with them".
"How bout you come over my place then".
"Yeah but we're not doing nothing".
She always throw that up in my face like I don't always think about sex, besides she decide we should wait until marriage.
"You always say that, I'm not going to do nothing that you don't want to do".
"Okay, I'll be by your place later on".
"Ight cool" placing a kiss on her forehead I got in my car starting it up getting ready to speed off when Dianna come flagging me down.
What do she want? Pressing the button to make the window go down she ask me was I coming over to Erika parents house for dinner.
Dianna is my dad second wife, there was no secret that he was cheating on my mom with her. When my mom found out she moved us to California to get away from my dad but of course we end up moving back to Houston cause of my grandmother was sick.
To tell you the truth I think my pops is cheating on Dianna.
"Elijah you should come have dinner with your soon to be in-laws".
"I'll think about it" after talking with her I quickly left the church before anyone else could stop me.
