EVEN IF ONLY A YEAR HAD PASSED, the redhead's sense of nostalgia was still strong. There was only one word she could think of when she saw the Los Angeles sign again. Home.
A spotless black car made it's way down the road towards Los Angeles California. With earphones plugged in, Scarlett was oblivious to the rest of the world as she sat in the backseat, her mother driving infront. Like always, her fingers tapped on her knee, cerulean heus focused on the passing cars, or whatever it was that caught her eye.
Her feelings weren't so much complicated, more like feeling multiple all at the same time. Anxious, definitely. Somewhat nervous, but she tried to focus on the excitement instead.
A lot can change in three hundred and sixty five days (roughly), that she knew for sure. During that period of time, Scarlett had lost contact with her old friends. It was rather ironic, really. The promises you try hardest to keep are the ones you end up breaking first.

Gert Yorkes was brushing French Fries crumbs off her sleeves. Alex Wilder had just finished his hamburger. Molly Hernandez happily munched on her onion rings. Chase, uncharacteristically, was sitting in one corner very quietly, occasionally fiddling with his fingers. Scarlett, on the other hand, was sipping her milkshake from the red plastic straw.
