Vanessa POV
After Layla went on her date, Roni and I decided to have a girls night. I went downstairs to go make popcorn while Roni is setting up some blankets and pillows.
It's been awhile since we had a day, or in this case night, to ourselves. I remember when we were little we would always have sleepovers in each others rooms. We would play dress up, and pretend to be princesses, or sometimes we would play house with our dolls where we had our own family. Those were the good old days.
You had nothing to worry about. There was no boy drama. No exams and tests. You wouldn't care how you looked and what people thought about you. You wouldn't have to worry about the future. All you had to worry about was the monsters under the bed or walking by the basement door and hearing noises that you thought were ghosts. All you wanted to do was grow up. But now, all you want to do is go back.
I was still deep in thought that I hadn't even realized that the popcorn was done and Roni was coming down.
"I'm just gonna get it myself cuz you were taking forever." She says as she walks through the door, opening the microwave.
I sigh, and grab two bottles of water from the fridge. I walked back upstairs to Roni's room and see that she later out two blankets and put our big fluffy pillows on top.
I jump on it causing the pillows to bounce up and I sigh in contentment.
"You ruined my setup! I was gonna take an Instagram picture!" Roni whined with a pout in her face.
"Sorry, I couldn't resist!" I said putting my hands up in surrender.
"So what movies did you pick?" I asked her as she was making her way over to the stash of DVDs.
"Well we have quite the amount of options to choose from." She said while laying then out one by one.
"We have Home Alone, Home Alone 2, Elf, Arthur's Christmas, the Nightmare before Christmas, Bad Santa, and the Polar Express." She said as they were all laid out in front of me.
"Why are these all Christmas movies?" I asked, chuckling. (Its nowhere near Christmas at the time)
"I know but who doesn't love Christmas movies?" She said smiling.
"True, true" I said agreeing. Hey, even though they're Christmas movies they are the best and I'm willing to watch it anytime.
We agreed on watching the Polar Express and snuggled up in blankets as it began playing.
Then, When Christmas Comes to Town starts playing and we sing along.
I'm wishing on a star
And trying to believe
That even though it's far
He'll find me Christmas Eve
I guess that Santa's busy
Cause he's never come around
I think of him
When Christmas comes to town
...
(Sorry if anyone doesn't celebrate Christmas I don't mean to offend anyone)

After the movie was over I see that Roni fell asleep so I put the blanket over her and turn everything off.
I snuggle up to the blankets and instantly fall asleep too but right before I do I heard a sound cone from downstairs.

I'm gonna see if I can write more before I get this book going again but I'll try my best!
