My mother, Prim, and I are at the train station to be there for Cato's departure. Even though I hated the guy for most of the time he was in District 12, I've been dreading his departure since he brought it up.

Cato gives my mother and Prim a goodbye hug before he stops in front of me.

"We'll give you too some time alone," my mom says while taking my sister away.

"Hi," Cato whispers. I'm really going to miss his voice.

"Hi," I whisper back.

"I'll come back a little bit before the tour to spend some time with you before the cameras come back on," Cato says.

"I'm really going to miss you Cato," I whisper while slowly leaning in.

He closes the gap between us and presses his lips against mine.

"Come on Cato, you need to go!" Haymitch calls signaling we need to pull apart.

"Goodbye," Cato says engulfing me in his arms.

"Goodbye," I say with my head buried in his chest.

We pull apart and Cato gives me one more quick kiss on the lips before taking the bag with what little belongings he has up on the train.

I hear the train start up and it slowly pulls away from the station.

I wave to Cato who I see in the window and he waves back. The train picks up speed and just like that he's gone.
