Chapter 23

I decided I would take a trip into to town today since I haven't been since I've been back.

I had a feeling that people would look at me but not like this. Some people do look at me in awe but others look at me with disgust or envy.

After a while of walking and just looking around, a sign catches my eyes.

Mellark's Bakery.

I feel tears brim to my eyes. When I look in the window I see the same blond hair and broad shoulders the boy I used-still do love had.

A closer look and I notice it's just his brother.

Then another blond hair, broad shouldered boy pops into my mind.

I sure do miss him.

"Hey, either buy something or leave!" A women's voice invades my thoughts. I look up to see Mrs.Mellark staring at me.

The same lady who hit Peeta.

Before I know what I'm saying I yell back,"Screw you!"

She looks at me shocked but instead of saying anything back she walks back inside and I begin to walk home.

Once I get back home I'm greeted with a bouquet of flowers sitting on the top step.

When I bend down to pick it up I see a little white piece of paper tucked in the flowers. I grab it and read.

I smile at the thought of the sender of this gift.

I really miss him.
