19 - Rewrite the stars.

It's been a few months,

Since she's been gone...well she didn't die, she's had been gone a few months her father said that Kirstin and her mother have been on vacation but she won't even answer her phone, i'm getting worried.

One day out of the blue I get a phone call, I didn't check to see so I answered, "hello?"

"Avi hi.." she spoke

"Where- where are you? Why did you go?-"

"Avi i'm ok don't worry about me..."

"But where are you?"

"I'm out of town..."

"Why did you leave"

There was a pause as my heart was beating so fast.

"It's nothing" she replied with, at this point I couldn't think.

"Kirstin you just up and left like what we had doesn't that mean anything?"

"Avi i'm sorry."

"No! God damnit Kirstin tell me where you are or tell me now what happened what did I do? what ..did someone hurt you?-"

"Drop it Avriel" she spat, that made me freeze. For the first time ever since we have been friends she used my full name.

"I can't do it your just too good for me and i'm scared, I am a bad person I get myself into situations-"

"But that's why I love you"

"Stop with the bullshit"

"No! It's not, all your life you have been played by guys who didn't love you so you got broken, put up walls to stop yourself from being hurt, so when a good guy like me comes your scared to actually open up. I love you, I will never hurt you-"

"That's what they all say, how do I know you won't be like the rest of them."

It was silent.

"Because I am your good boy. The boy you fell in love with because I have a pure heart"

I could hear her staring to sob.

"Kirstin please just tell me where you are so I can help you"

"Please.." she breathed. 

"Kirst- where are you?" I asked in a more softer approach. "I won't tell anyone where I'm going it would just be me and you."

"I'm- i'm with my mom, at a rented apartment"

"Text me the rest of the address"

Avi ran up the stairs towards the apartment, he knocked on the door waiting.

The door opened as Kirstin stood there, they made eye contact, neither of them saying anything.

She then ran into his arms letting out a soft sob into his chest, as he calmly held her by rubbing her back.

"Please tell me what's wrong.." Avi cooed as Kirstin dried her eyes before taking his hand, walking him into the apartment and onto the large grey sofa in the middle of the room.

"Avi my father got a better job and he wants us to move more into the city." she spoke while playing with the sleeves of her hoodie, not making eye contact with him even though she could feel is green orbs burning into her head.

Avi let out a small sigh. "But you was staying with me..do you really want to go?" he asked.

"Of course not! He doesn't want me to be far away if something happens-"

"But you have me. I won't hurt you I will always make sure your safe." he stated.

"Let's run away" she started taking him by surprise.

"Kirstin listen-"

"I'm being serious...I will run away with you, we can get a house of our own-"

"Listen to yourself!" Avi raised his voice slightly bringing Kirstin out of her fantasy as she looked innocently at him.

"I will talk to your mother about getting you to stay with me while they go live in the city."

"Tell me what?" a voice from behind them spoke, looking around it was Kirstin's mother.

"Mrs Maldonardo I understand that you want Kirstin to go with you when you leave for the city but she's happy here with me and I can say that she will be in good hands with me, I will make sure she's safe and that no one will hurt her." he started taking her by surprise.

"Well I think that you're convincing Avriel but it's not me you need to get by his the big man but he sadly is not here, but I will make a call and explain the situation. But don't celebrate yet." she said as she took put her phone making a call.

Waiting anxiously for her mother to come back, as they both cuddled on the sofa, "i'm hoping he agrees.." Kirstin spoke as her head rested on his chest.

"I hope he will too..." Avi replied.Mrs Maldonardo returned to the couple as she cleared her throat making them jump up and wait with anticipation.

"well...I hope you have your stuff packed because he said yes..."

There was silence, before both of them cheered as they hugged, Kirstin broke the hug and ran to her mother hugging her repeating thank you over and over again.

"But! He did say there are some rules.." she continued. " he wants at least weekly updates and for you to come to us on special occasions"

"Deal!" squealed Kirstin.

~ A Month later ~ 

"Yes dad we are doing fine... no not yet" Kirstin smirked as she looked at Avi making him frown.

"Yes, we are being safe...in both departments thank you...yes, ok...I know...yes love you too bye." Kirstin got off of the phone with her father.

"So what was that about?" Avi asked

"Oh nothing he just asked when the grandkids are coming..." she teased as Avi was shocked "ah haha i'm kidding...that's not for a few years"

"The sky looks very pretty wanna take a picture for instagram" Avi suggested as they both walked out to the balcony of their newly shared apartment. Avi set up the timer for the camera as at first they took the typical couple pictures of them kissing to then, Avi got Kirstin onto his shoulders as they both turned towards the sky.

Kirstin raised her arms above her head as the click of the camera sounded, once getting off of his shoulders, reviewing the pictures Kirstin spoke.

"I love you...and i'm thankful for meeting my good little boy."

Avi responded "love you too and I'm thankful for meeting my bad girl" he then leaned into her for a kiss.
