A Thousand Years - Sanvers (Earth 90 Sequel)

Allen!

Alex's POV
"Maggie, I'm not going to go to Supergirl's funeral." I said as we sat at the dinner table, eating the meal that Maggie had made.

"Alex! You need to go. It's your sister!"

"I went to Kara's. Supergirl's funeral is for the public."

"You still need to go!" Maggie was now raising her voice and she had put down her cutlery. She was about to lecture me, I could tell. "Supergirl was everything to Kara, you should know better than anyone. If Kara were here..."

"But she isn't!" I let the tears run down my face and Maggie's expression changed from angry to sympathetic. "She died, end of story."

"Alex, you need to go. I let you cancel our wedding for this."

"Maggie, she is gone. I am going to need some time to get over the fact that I'll never see my sister again!" I was now yelling as well.

"Alex, I can get her back!" Maggie and I both spun around to see the man attached to the rough voice we had just heard.

"Who are you?" Maggie stood up threateningly, stepping in front of me as if to try and protect me. I shoved her out of the way to see the man in better view. I was surprised when I saw a bright red supersuit and a lightning bolt.

"Allen!" I exclaimed, running to him and giving him a huge hug.

Three Weeks Later

"So, that's basically all that's happened while you and Lena were..." I trailed off, not wanting to look my sister in the eye. She sat up in the hospital bed and gave me a glare.

"Alex, saying the word 'dead' isn't insulting or anything." I stared at my sister, who was looking around intently, probably just glad she was back. "So, when is your wedding?"

"We cancelled it after you and Lena... died." I spat out the word, trying not to make it seem like it has affected me as much as it had. After a minute of silence, I realised she was crying.

"When is Barry bringing Lena back?" Tears fell down Kara's face and I just looked at her with grief.

"When he dropped you off, he said she was stuck somewhere but we didn't catch where."

"I need her, Alex!"

"Just relax, sis. She will be here soon." I put a hand on her shoulder as she drifted off to sleep. I was glad that she was completely okay, or as okay as you can be after being pulled out of complete darkness. Barry had barged in and told us he could get them back. Every time we asked questions about how, he would avoid telling us anything about his plan.

He brought Kara back and she freaked out as soon as she came out of the portal, attacking the DEO and putting a few agents in the hospital. I had been able to calm her enough to let some of the doctors give her a sedative. She woke up two hours ago, so I had explained Maggie and my engagement and everything else that had happened while she and Lena had been... dead.

Two weeks later and Lena had arrived. She had a panic attack the moment she was here and Kara did to Lena what I had done to her. Lena didn't need a sedative though and both women recovered fairly quickly. Soon after getting my sister and Lena back, Barry said something about a Villain on his earth that was causing trouble, then he jumped through a portal.

A month later, as I was planning the wedding, Kara landed softly on my balcony and walked in.

"What's up, sis?" I turned around to her and waited for an answer.

"Nothing, I just wanted to see how you are. Wedding planning is hard." I nodded in response, thinking about all the work I had to get done.

"It was easier planning it when we were kids." I let out a small laugh and she did too. "I seem to remember you planning wedding for you and the whole of NSYNC." I joked.

"Hey, don't bring them up. Anyway, how is everything going?" She sat down on the couch beside me and leant over, resting her head on my shoulder.

"I finally got the money side of things out of the way. I need to go dress shopping though." Her eyes lit up and she gave me an excited look.

"Can I come with you and your maid of honour to help pick out the dress?"

"Well, Kara... I was kind of hoping that you would... You know.. be my maid of honour." I waited anxiously for the answer. I don't know why I felt she might have said no but I was relieved when her expression got even happier.

"Really?" She hugged me tight and I felt the shoulder that her head was on get wet. "Of course!"

"We better get going, the shop closes soon."

"I'll fly us there!" We both stood up and I grabbed my things. She took my hand and we jumped out of the window.
