The chaos of the camp was a welcome distraction to me. My mind was spinning in a million different directions.
Where is Khione's next attack going to be?
When is Erebos going to rise?
Is Camp Jupiter an ally to me?
      Is Jules still alive?
The last question sent chills up my spine. Of course he was. He had to be. Khione wouldn't let him die.
Why wouldn't she? My thoughts hissed back. Would she really let the Chosen of Olympus live? Even if he is trapped under the sky, he's a threat to her and Erebos. A very real threat. The only logical option is to eliminate him.
I closed my eyes and I braced my hands against one of the brick walls of the barracks. No. I pushed back. He's alive. I would know if he wasn't.
      "Jayde?"
"It's Jay." I turned to face the scrawny teen in front of me. His curly brown hair was a mess and the goofy grin on his face made me scowl deeper.
What was his name again? I studied the brown eyes in front of me. I remembered his power. Fire. Child of Hephaestus. The name clicked into place. Leo.
"I thought you were busy being pampered for not being dead?" I raised an eyebrow in his direction. "Not being dead is a pretty big deal. After all, you are alive and all. Cause, you know, you aren't dead if you're alive." I silently cursed myself. Did that even make any sense? I was too focused on Jules. I knew he couldn't survive long. I had to help him.
Leo looked very confused. I sighed as he tried to put together what I had said. "What did you need, Leo?"
A big grin spread over his face again. "Ha! You did remember!"
Now it was my turn to be confused. "What?"
Leo's grin was still lopsided. "There was a bet that you couldn't remember my name. Looks like I won."
Is everything a game with you? I wanted to yell at him, instead I settled for an eye roll. "What. Did. You. Need." I ground out the words.
"Reyna wanted to talk to you." Leo's grin remained in place.
      "About what?"
"Gee I don't know. The fate of the world?" I saw Leo's grin start to fade. He had been different since he got back, or so everyone said. The always happy-go-lucky kid wasn't as cheerful anymore. The Seven worried about him the most. It might have had something to do with where he had been when he was gone, or what had happened. But he wouldn't talk about it, not even to the Seven.
I nodded and moved around him. As I moved through the busy camp, I couldn't help but let myself feel the slightest sympathy for Leo. Everyone had thought he'd been dead for years. And now they were pushing him to figure out what had happened.
I knew the feeling. All too well.
I pushed down my feelings as I made my way through the last of the demigods that stood between Reyna and me. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes as I stood before the closed door.
      Just say yes. Please.
I opened my eyes and took another breath as I pushed the door open.

Hey guys! I know it's been a while but life has been super crazy. I might not be able to update as often as I did Claimed by Twelve but I will try my best! Thanks for your patience!
