"NO!" a fifteen year old Eleanor Whitby cried as she watched her house burn up like paper. "Mom! Dad! NO!" she sobbed even harder as she collapsed on the ground. Her fear paralyzed her and she was choked by her tears. Ever since she was little, she was always afraid of burning to death. But it's not her that's burning, it's her mom, dad, and seven-month-old sister. She was praying that it was all just a nightmare and that she would wake up and none of this would be real.
But oh boy, it was as real as it gets.
Unfortunately for poor Eleanor, both of her parents and her baby sister died in that house fire. She always tells herself that it's her fault they're all dead. She should've gone back to get them, but instead she only saved herself. She has no one else to live with, so she'll have to move across the ocean to live with her grandparents in Liverpool.
And this is where her story begins.
