I closed the front door and took my shoes off. I walked to the living room, I saw Mike sleeping on the couch and Poppy fell asleep on his chair. I went upstairs to my room and changed my clothes. I am so tired from walking home. I layed down on my bed, and just as I was about to fall asleep, I felt something move on my bed and I jumped up.

"What the hell, Paul?!" I whispered loudly.

"Oh, sorry. Is it okay if I sleep in your room tonight?" he asked. "I saw a spider in my room."

"A spider?" I repeated. "Are you kidding me?"

He shook his head.

"Yeah, I guess you can sleep in here. But don't move around too much," I joked. I layed down again and he turned to face me.

"You seem happy, how was your little date?" he asked.

"It was great," I told him.

"It's weird, my cousin and my best friend, you know, "dating"."

I laughed at that. "Goodnight, Paul." I closed my eyes and immediatly fell asleep.

The next day, at about a little while before noon, I rode Paul's bike to the library to meet up with the band. I would've walked, but it's a bit too far. They sky was grey, like it often was. It was a boring ride, nothing really to look at. Until I started getting closer to the library, then I saw a lot of colorful billboards and such. Some of them were interesting, but some of them seemed like a big waste of money and space. I almost missed the library as I was reading one.

"Hey, sorry I'm a bit late," I said to them as I parked the bike. They all looked at me a bit awkwardly. I saw a girl with dark skin, who kind of looked like the bass guitar player, I still can't remember her name.

"It's okay, El," Piper said in her annoying, stuck-up voice. "We're not rehearsing today."

"Good, because I forgot my guitar." I walked over to the other girl and held out my hand. "Hi, there, I'm Eleanor," I introduced myself.

She smiled and shook my hand. "Hi, I'm Courtney, Evelyn's cousin."

That's her name, Evelyn. "It's nice to meet you."

"She used to be our lead guitarist," Evelyn said to me. I suddenly felt uncomfortable.

"Really..." my voice drifted.

"And...she kind of...is in the band again."

It took me a minute to realize what she was trying to say. "You're...replacing me?"

"Sorry," she shrugged. They're replacing me. At that moment, I realized they were never really my friends. All they are is group of stuck-up, self-centered, talentless hoes. I'm not just saying that because of what they're doing, but because it's the truth! No wonder they weren't as popular before I joined. Not to sound conceited or anything, just the truth.

I got on my bike and peddled away as fast as I could. I heard them calling me some rude names as I left, but I didn't care. I just kept riding until I got to the park. I sat under a tree and played with the dirt, not even minding that it was filled with queer-looking insects. They only friends I had, or thought I had, were gone. I'm out of the band. Hey, maybe George will still want to be in a band with me.

"Hey, El," John said and sat next to me. I suddenly became even more anygry.

"Go away, John. I hate you."

"Pardon? What did I do?" he asked, clueless.

"You know what you did!"

"No I don't!"
