Author notes:
Thanks Tcol521 for the idea for the omake.
If someone were to ask me why I keep having dreams about a flying panda chasing me around with a rocket launcher in his mouth, I wouldn't have the slightest idea. I remember reading somewhere that dreams were supposed to be symbolic, but I don't think a panda trying to murder me is very symbolic.
There was no way I was going back to sleep after that.
I leaned over on my bed and checked my phone's time; it was a little past six, much earlier than I usually wake up. Since it was still early, I decided to get up and take a shower before everyone else wakes up.
Once I put on my school clothes, and fixed my hair I decided to lay back on my bed till it was time to leave for school. Right before I laid-down I saw a certain midget jump out the window, and I decided to follow her, I already knew she was going to see Kiskue.
After a while she noticed me following her, not like I was trying to hide it or anything.
She walked in front of me, towards the small shop, her face unreadable. "Why are you following me?"
"Because I want to go with you," I reply, most likely making her even more suspicious of me.
"You don't even know where I'm going," she argues.
I scratch my head. "It wouldn't be to a particular candy store, now would it?" She stops dead in her tracks, and I quickly regret my choice of words.
"How did you know that?" she snarls, her arms crossed over her chest.
"I followed you before," I lied through my teeth, "you know the last time you came here."
For the record, I did not follow her the last time. I figured since the other day when the Hollow attacked me and Ichigo, and she was nowhere around, she would finally go and get our gikongans.
Which turns out to be the awesome mod soul we know as Kon.
"I'm pretty sure I would have sense you coming," Rukia admonishes coldly.
"You were still weak, it's no way you would have sense me," I clean up quickly. She looks at me with a suspicious glare.
"Something's just not right about you," she says, with just enough maliciousness to make me sweat "First you'll able to shoot a mid-level kido. Second you didn't seem the least bit surprise about the Soul Society, your sword split in two, and you know about the Urahara shop. Is there something you want to tell me?"
I rub the back of my head nervously, under her dangerous glare. "Well, I'm just....there's the shop right ahead!" I blurt out seeing the candy store ahead. "Let's get moving!" I went to walk on, but she grabbed the collar of my blouse keeping me the place.
This isn't good.
"You don't have to tell me now," she says, letting go of my collar causing me to fall almost flat on my face. "But you have to tell me someday, when you're ready, deal?" She extended her hand out towards mines.
I hesite at her words, I mean how do you tell someone you're not from this world? Hey, Rukia I'm from a world where we watch you and the gang on TV, not creepy at all. Oh, and I don't why I'm here, but yeah here I am. As much as I hated the idea, she wasn't asking me to tell her now, but sometime in the near future.
That wasn't a bad bargain, after all I did like Rukia as a character, she didn't seem like the one to judge you.
"Deal," I reply, shaking her hand.
Why do I feel like a friendship between us just bloomed?
