today was a day of cellebration in Dragons edge!

they were cellebrating the anniversary of hiccup and astrid, the betrothed couple!

today was also a sad day for 2 people, ruffnut and Snotlout

ruffnut thought this day was a reminder that she had no one, and that her crush would never like her (her crush was snotlout)

and snotlout thought this day was a reminder that Astrid would never like him, or be with him

ruffnut got up from her bed, and took a long, hot shower

she took off her clothes and locked the door

she got in the shower and started singing:

  The bed's getting cold and you're not here
The future that we hold is so unclear
But I'm not alive until you call
And I'll bet the odds against it all

she then started crying, or rather hitting everything she saw

"I hate this day!" she said "I will never have anyone, and instead of helping me, every year Astrid keeps bragging about it"

 she put on her clothes, and wiped her eyes: she would not show weakness

she opened the bathroom door, and saw her brother

he was staring at ruff, with a brotherly look

"is everything okay?" he asked

ruff looked worried, she hoped her brother didn't hear what she said in the bathroom

"it is all fine" she said, fake smiling

he stared at her, and said "okay" and got into the bathroom

ruff walked out, only to be greeted by the last person she wanted to see: Astrid

"hey Ruff!" she said looking excited

ruff internally sighed,she knew astrid was going to bother her with her and hiccups relationship

ruff put on a fake smile and said "hey astrid"

Astrid smiled, and grabbed ruff's hand

she took ruff onto a hill, and they both sat down

"so what are you wishing to tell me?" asked ruff with fake enthusiasm

"well..." astrid started, ruff could see she was uncomfortable

ruff had an idea about what she was going to say, and she internally started crying
