Happy New Year, Spidey // Peter Parker

Liz Allen was having her annual New Years Eve party.
Everyone was excited. Or at least the majority were. You were anxious thinking about the "midnight kiss" tradition you'd always manage to avoid, which was a mood killed at the end of the year but it was better than kissing a random student or worse, no body at all.
Peter Parker has been invited or at least acknowledged this year after that mortifying incident in gym classes which was good news for you, after all, you did always have a crush on him. You didn't want to exaggerate it but your best friends would beg to differ.

"Come on! Stop pretending you aren't dying to see Peter at the party this weekend!" Your best friend whines at you. "Okay, Okay. Yes I'm excited, of course! But you know I'm dreading that stupid "kiss tradition!" You complain. "It's not that bad Y/N and you know it." She says to you winking. "Yeah, that's because you have a BOYFRIEND!" You emphasised the word, 'boyfriend', annoyed but laughed after. "Well, you can always kiss Peter." Your other friend suggested. "Yeah, sure! In my dreams! Don't be stupid!" You said sarcastically. "You never know what could happen at that party..." She trailed on.

"Ned! What were you thinking?" Peter yelled at his best friend. "Y/N knows you 'know' Spiderman! Maybe, you could kiss her at the party!" Ned replied excitedly. "No, no, no Ned! That's not the issue here!" He said, clearly worrying. "The issue is, you've been pining for this girl for three years now! You have to make a move now before it's too late! And what better setting!" "Come on, Ned. You know she won't kiss me back." "Well, let's wait and see for the party, shall we?"

All too soon, the party arrived and you were getting ready. You put on your outfit after you'd finished your makeup and took a selfie for your friend captioned:
"Wish you could be here!😭Have fun on holiday🎉♥️"

You walked in making causal conversation until you checked your watch to see '11:57'.
Crap. I better get out of here.
You opened the pool side doors and stood outside smiling at the sky. You were sad about not being able to kiss Peter because after about 10 seconds into the party, he had disappeared but at least you got the best view of the fireworks above you. You stared out into the stars until you suddenly heard the crowds of people in doors chant.
"10, 9, 8, 7,6,5...!" Everyone yelled and you began to quietly say along. "4,3,2 and...1." You said disappointed. Everyone kissed their s/o or the person closest to them but you just continued to stare at the sky.
"Damn it. I'm late."
You heard a voice said under their breathe but you still heard them. Before you could even react, a web attached itself to you wrist, spinning you around until you met a boy with a spiderman mask covering the top portion of his face. He kissed you in matter of seconds. It was long, sweet and passionate. He places his hands on your waist and you swung your arms around his neck as the kiss deepened. "I'm sorry I'm late." He said which made you realise who it was. "Peter?" You said in shock. "Shhhh..." He said to you as he leaned in to another kiss. After this one had broke apart, he said, "I'm not sorry for being a minute late. I'm sorry for being 3 years too late." He said to you and smiled sweetly. "Better late, then never." You said as you smiled into another quick peck on the lips. "Happy new year Y/N." He said into your hair.
"Happy new year Spidey."
