Tom's POV

It had been 4 months while y/n, my best friend was in a coma. I called her to come and meet me at our favourite pizza place, and she got in to a car accident.

I was going to ask her to be my girlfriend that night. And I never got to.

That night, I met her in the hospital. She had lost a lot of blood, and the doctor told me to wait outside. I was still holding the flowers from when I was going to ask her the question.

I came back every weekend, after being told everyday was too much. The doctor sent me an email this morning, 4 months after the accident, and said that she has a chance of waking up.

I was ecstatic. I ran upstairs and quickly changed into something more hospital appropriate and grabbed the flowers I had already bought for the visit today.

My baby might wake up today. I love her so much. I even grabbed the promise ring I had bought as well. I was planning a big surprise for when she wakes up, if she does. It would kill me if she never did. But I love her, and can't wait to see her.

I drove as fast I could to the hospital, my head aching from remembering the awful memories of what she must have gone through.

Before I knew it, I was inside at reception asking to see her. And they let me through.

The doctor met me outside and said he's leave me alone, but that it's not looking good.

And that made my heart break...again.

I took a seat next to her bed, and intertwined her fingers with mine.

"Hey y/nn. Hey darling. If you did say yes to being my girlfriend, it would be our 4 month anniversary today, and I'm hoping you would've say yes. I miss you. I miss your adorable laugh, your cute smile, and your eyes...your beautiful eyes. I miss you y/n. Please wake up."

Reader's POV

Tears started to form in his eyes as he opened the promise ring box and placed the ring on your finger.

"I love you."

In a raspy, quiet voice, you mumbled as your eyes blinked open,
"I love you more tommy."
