AN//I know he's American and 'darling' is very British, but I love the word 'darling' a lot.

You were wearing at least 4 layers treading through the thick snow. You had been separated from your family and were seeking shelter from anywhere or anything, or anyone.

You saw a cabin in the distance and sighed in relief as you walked towards it and knocked on the door.

"H-hello?" You said, shivering from the cold.

A boy with brown curly hair opened the door with a confused face, but he was shocked. He thought you were beautiful.

"Are you okay? Are you alone?" He asked concerned.

"Well, yes. I got separated from my family. I told them that if this ever happened, that they should go home and I'll make it back. I-I just need some help."

"Here, come in."

He opened the door wider for you to enter which is where you were met with an angry older man you presumed to be his dad.

"Bradley. And who is this?" He said, almost suspiciously calm.

"It's y/n. She got separated from her family and she's alone."

"Okay, there's a spare bed in your room, she can stay there. Bradley, a minute?"

You went and sat down in the bedroom but heard them speaking through the door. Curious, you pushed your ear up against the door and listened to the muffled voices.

"We barely have enough for us in this cabin, and now you're playing hero and 'saving' her?" Elliot mocked him.

"Elliot, I'm not leaving her out there. She can have some of my stuff, I have spare clothes and she's about my age. I don't want her outside by herself. Please, dad?"

"Ugh, fine. Me and Caleb are going hunting now. You stay here and get her settled. No funny business Brad."

"Thank you."

Bradley walked into the room where you were after you had rushed from the door to the bed.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cause a hassle. I can leave if you want."
You said shyly.

"Hey, no. I want you to be comfortable. Here, your clothes are freezing and wet, you can have something of mine, like this hoodie."

He walked over to his bag, grabbed a hoodie and sat next to you on the bed.

"Thank you Bradley, this is really sweet."

"I'll let you get changed and I'll be back in just a second."

"Okay, don't be gone too long. I-I have this, well since my family left, I'm scared of being alone. I-I'm sorry I sound really needy."

"Aw, it's okay. I'll turn around, darling."

After you changed into his baggy hoodie and leggings, you put your hair up into a messy bun and said,
"I'm done, Brad."

After he turned around, he looked at you in awe. He stared for a while, as you blushed, and then he noticed what he was doing.

"You're just very beautiful, and cute."

"You're really cute too. And thank you for all of this. It means a lot-" You said cut off by your own yawn.

"You must be exhausted. Take my bed, I'll sleep in the main room."

"No no, you stay here. I'm just a guest, please just-"

You were interrupted when you heard a little boy's voice from outside the room saying, "Hey Bradley! I'm staying with dad so you and the girl having space! Don't make too much noise in there!"

"Shut up Caleb. Thank you though."

He made his way back to the bed and unraveled a quilt over you.

You grabbed on to his hand and said, "Stay with me?"

"Okay."

He climbed into bed next to you, held his hands around your waist as you intertwined your fingers with his and you both drifted off to sleep.
