Forbidden Love

Chapter Two

He scanned the room with his eyes, making eye contact with every person there. There was something about the way he was watching us that made him seem sketchy in a way. He finally found a seat but was cut off by the girl two seats behind Taylor.

"You can have this seat", she said in a flirty tone.

"Hm, no thanks", he replied smugly. "I'll sit right here". He walked up to the seat directly behind me and sat down. "Is this seat taken?"

"Um...no It's not", I replied quietly. What about him makes me so shy? Is it his eyes? His way to talk to girls? I shot a look over at Taylor and Sean and they were immediately whispering to each other about him sitting behind me.

"So, what's your name?" He asked.

"It's Emily", I answered nice but confidently. "Yours?"

"It's Cameron", he replied back. "Emily is a pretty name". I smiled. Other girls around me were rolling their eyes. I guess they were jealous that he likes my name.

"So Cameron...", I started to say.

"Emily no talking!" The teacher yelled. A few kids started to laugh as an embarrassed look approached my face. "I will see you after class".

"Good luck", Sean mouthed to me. I shrugged. I've never been in trouble before. Is Cameron sitting behind me a good idea? A few minutes later the bell rang and I walked up to the teacher's desk.

"You wanted to see me?" I asked politely. My teacher nodded.

"I'm glad you're becoming friends with him but you can't talk during class. Others won't be able to focus or hear what I'm saying", she explained. I instantly regretted allowing him to sit behind me.

"Nobody listens to you anyway", I mumbled.

"What was that Emily"? she asked, acting like she heard me.

"Nothing. And I understand about no talking in class", I answered. I left the room quickly but I felt her staring me down. I hope she didn't hear me.

"So how did that go"? Sean asked, approaching me with Taylor. I shrugged.

It went okay, I guess. She got mad because I talked in class", I replied. I noticed Cameron on the left side of the hallway near my locker. He gave me a small smile and I instantly blushed. Taylor rolled her eyes.

"You can't like that guy, Emily", she warned. "He's bad news". Cameron starting walking towards me with a smirk on his face.

"How's it going guys"? He asked, pretending to be our friend. Sean rolled his eyes.

"Let's go Sean", Taylor hissed. She grabbed Sean and they walked down the hallway without looking back at Cameron.

"So Emily. I'm having a party tomorrow night. You should totally come", he said, staring deep in my eyes. His lips were almost kissing level. I totally wanted to kiss him but everyone was watching us. I looked at Sean and Taylor. Would they be okay with me going to one of his parties?

"Bring your friends. They'll have a blast", he added. Wow, a party at Cameron's house. Will everything go right or am I falling into one of his traps?
