A/N: So sorry this took so long! I wasn't sure how this should go and school is trying to kill me. Also, so I know Copeland could barely walk or talk in the first chapter and now this but just pretend that's normal :)

"Copeland?"

"Yeah Bwandy?"

"Do you know what your daddy's favorite color is?" I was trying to decide on what to wear for our DATE tonight. I was in sweatpants and a tank top when he saw me earlier so I definitely had to change into something else.

"Yes." Cope answered.

"Really? What is it?"

"Pink." I sighed and rolled my eyes.

"Copeland...that's your favorite color." She giggled and dropped a block.

"Oh yeah."

"Well do you know what color he wears a lot?"

"Yes."

"What is it?"

"Merch."

"What?"

"Merch. Dat's what Daddy calls it." I sighed. I'm never going to get a simple 'blue' or 'green' am I? I decided to just go with what looks good on me, which was a dark-but not navy- blue top since I have dark hair and light skin and light colors wash me out. I debated wearing a band shirt, but decided that would seem fangirlly. Plus I'm twenty-three so...

I wondered where we were going to go for dinner. I assumed it would be pretty casual since it was just a first date, and we would have Cope. I started getting really stressed about tonight, like this is Kellin Quinn. Kellin. Quinn. What is a girl supposed to wear when she goes out with a rock star? Maybe I'll call Kate and ask....oh shit. Kate. Ex-husband. Nope. Can't do it. It's against the rules. But this probably isn't going anywhere anyway, right? I mean, maybe tonight will go horribly and Kellin will never want to see me again. I don't even need to tell Kate.

"Bwandy?" Cope asked from my bedroom door.

"Yes, Cope?"

"What are you doing?" How do I explain what this is to a three year old? I bent over and picked her up and sat on the end of my bed.

"Copeland? Do you know what happened between your mommy and daddy?"

"Daddy didn't love Mommy anymore and Mommy didn't love Daddy anymore so Daddy left." She said somewhat sadly. "Now I don't see Daddy a lot."

"Well, uh, your daddy asked me to go out on a date with you and him tonight."

"What does that mean? What's a date?"

"It's...like a play date for adults. We are going to go out and have some fun together, just the three of us."

"Oh, okay...Bwandy?"

"Yeah?"

"Does Daddy love you?" I shook my head.

"No, he doesn't love me. Maybe some day he will, but not right now. But Mommy and Daddy love you a lot. Never forget that okay?"

"Okay."

"Okay, now let's get ready for our date!" Cope nodded and jumped off my lap. I put on a little casual perfume, and glanced down at Cope who was watching me.

"Can I have some? It smells good." I giggled at how adorable she is.

"Alright, but just a little." Instead of spraying her with it, I put a little on my wrist and dabbed it on shoulders.

"Mmmm, it smells like a meadow!" She sang as she twirled around. I scooped her up and spun her around. "I wish I was as pretty as you." Cope sighed.

"You look very pretty, Copeland." She giggled. "I wish I was as pretty as you!" Cope wrapped her arms around my neck.

"I hope Daddy loves you soon." She whispered in my ear. I pulled her away a little so I could see her.

"Why do you say that?" She shrugged.

"Because then you'll be my other Mommy!" Oh, god. Kate is going to hate me... I glanced at the clock and it said six fifty. Crap! We have to go soon.

"Cope are you ready to go?" I asked putting her down in the living room.

"Yeah." I looked around the room and put a few stray toys back in her bag.

"Good, now your daddy--" I was cut off by the doorbell. I took a deep breath and pushed my hair behind my ear. I took Cope in my arms and opened the door.

"Hey Brandy!" Kellin greeted me. I smiled.

"Hey Kellin." Cope reached out for him to take her and he gladly took her out of my arms.

"So how was your day?" He asked. I reached down to get Cope's bag.

"Great. We watched a movie, and played with blocks." I said. I held out the bag and was faced with Copeland holding a rose out for me with a big smile on her face. "Aww thank you Copeland!" I said while giving Kellin a knowing look. He blushed and took Cope's bag.

"Should we go?" He asked and I nodded. We got in the car and Kellin asked me where we should eat. I suggested a small diner which is close to the movie theater. "You know, this is so wrong. Like I'm on a date with the girl who babysits my and my ex-wife's child who is also friends with my ex-wife." I laughed.

"Yeah, and for that reason, I don't think we should tell Kate..."

"She'll be mad, won't she?" I shrugged.

"Probably."

"Brandy, I don't want this to ruin your friendship."

"Don't worry. I'll talk to Kate later."

"Are you sure?" I nodded and we continued eating. After we finished eating, Kellin payed for us which I appreciated, and he gave Cope a ride on his shoulders as we walked to the movie theater.

"Wittle Mermaid! Wittle Mermaid!" Cope chanted as the pounded her fists into Kellin's skull. Probably not hard enough to hurt, but that could get annoying. He was so good with her though, he just let her get all the excitement out as we walked into the theater and took our seats. There was only one other family in the theater who sat in the front, so we sat in the back. Cope's eyes were glued to the screen, but Kellin and I just talked the whole time. I know, bad movie goers, but we were quiet.

"So when are you going back on tour?" I asked.

"I don't know." Kellin groaned. "I just got a call from out manager saying that we don't have the money to do a tour and put out the next album." Kellin looked distraught as he thought about the situation.

"Oh...so, which are you going to do?" He shrugged.

"I guess we should put out the album just to get it out there. We usually tour right after to promote it but we can always wait."

"Is the album already finished?"

"We're pretty much done writing, I might try to squeeze one more song on, but we're off right now because we need to record it." I nodded. When the movie was over, Kellin picked up Cope and held out his hand. I took it and we walked hand-in-hand back to the car. When Kellin dropped me off, he walked me to the door.

"Thanks, Kellin, I had a really good time." I said before I went inside.

"Me too. Would you want to maybe...do this again sometime?" He asked. I grinned and nodded.

"Text me?" He nodded.

"Yeah, I will." We said goodnight and I walked in. I shut the door and leaned back against it. I sighed, squeezing my eyes shut.

"Amazing." I whispered to myself.
