A/N: *Updates three millenniums later* Sorry this took so long, I just need some new inspiration for this story. I haven't forgotten about it though don't worry!

"Hey, Boss! How's it going?" Sarah asked as I walked by the counter. I glanced up at her.

"Hey, Sarah, you know you can call me Brandy right?" She shrugged. "Anyway, everything's great! Sales are up, and gas prices are down." I told her. She nodded.

"Cool. And how was your date?" I froze and turned back to her.

"What? How did you know?"

"I can read you like a book, Brandy. So? When do I get to meet this mystery guy who has my boss all smiley today?" She asked cheekily. I scoffed and rolled my eyes.

"Never." I stated bluntly I turned away to finish taking inventory of the store and rearranging things when I almost ran into someone. The guy caught my arm but didn't let go.

"Brandy? Hey!" He said. I looked up and Kellin was the one who I almost tripped over. "What are you doing here?" He asked. I smiled about seeing him again.

"Kellin! Hey, what are you doing here?" I asked. He chuckled.

"I need to talk to the manager about something. Now it's your turn."

"Oh right!" I said, realizing I had asked him the same question he asked me. "Well if you're looking for the person in charge...you found her." His eyes went wide.

"You manage Hot Topic?" He asked in awe.

"She doesn't just manage this Hot Topic, she owns the entire line. Hell, she started this place!" Sarah interjected. She held out her hand to Kellin. "I'm Sarah, big fan!" She said.

"What. You are the great and holy founder of heaven on earth!?" Kellin asked in disbelief. I nodded. "Oh my gosh."

"Yeah, well, what did you need?" I asked.

"Right, so we have a new shirt out and well...wow this is awkward now..." I giggled.

"We would love to sell it here." I said, answering his question. He relaxed and smiled.

"Thank you Brandy." I grinned and nodded. "So...you don't even want to see it first?"

"Oh no, I want to see it, I just know I'll love it!" We just kind of stared at each other for a minute until I heard a gasp from beside me.

"Oh. My. Gosh. He's the guy!?" Sarah, who had never left, squealed. I blushed and Kellin wrapped and arm around my shoulder. I nodded.

"I babysit his daughter." I explained.

"So, um, now that business is over, could I take you out for lunch?" He asked.

"Okay, I just have to finish up here and I'll take a break."

"Alright." I turned and rushed into the back while leaving Kellin in the store. A store full of teens who know who he is. Not a good decision. When I came back out there were kids surrounding Kellin asking for autographs and pictures like wild animals. I cringed and ran over to the group.

"Hey!" I called. They all looked at me.

"This isn't a mosh pit! Give him some space!" Some of the fans laughed and they stepped back.

"If you guys want to make a line, I'll sign some stuff for you." Kellin told them. He was always so happy, and he was great with the fans. The fans maneuvered into a line and Kellin walked down it quickly taking photos and signing shirts or posters as he went by. I thanked some fans as they left and as soon as Kellin was done, he walked me out. "So, why did you come in if you own the Hot Topic line? Don't you have people for that?" I nodded.

"Of course I do, but this one is the closest to where I live and I need something to do during the day." I said.

"Oh, okay cool. Want to eat here?" Kellin asked, pointing to the restaurant to our right.

"Sure." I said. I loved working in the mall because there were so many stores and restaurants I could go to during my free time. We got a table and ordered our food.

"So what's up?" I shrugged.

"Nothing much, you?" Kellin shook his head and shrugged as well. I nodded. "We are such interesting people."

"Ha, yeah right?"

"Hear anything more about the whole album versus tour dilemma?" He shook his head.

"Our manager says we definitely can't do both unless we get some sponsors or something. I don't know, we can just wait to tour I guess... But what about you? How did you start Hot Topic?"

"Well, my parents died after I left for college. They were filthy rich, but were really adamant about earning your way in life so I had to pay for the whole tuition myself. After they were gone I inherited all their money, but I stuck with school and got a degree in business. I've always loved bands and all that stuff so I started the line."

"Doesn't seem like you really had too." I shook my head.

"I did though. I felt guilty about living off of my parent's wealth and I needed something to do during the day. I had the money to get it going, and now I at least know I'm set for life. I sold their house and bought a smaller one. I never needed all the space."

"Saving your money, smart."

"That's what Dad taught me. 'Save it for when the stock market crashes again,' he said." I thought about my parents, and remembered all the stupid sayings they used to convince me why I shouldn't buy that candy bar or that package of silly-putty.

"He sounds like a smart man."

"He was. He was really practical. He only bought what he needed, except when it came to my mom. Then he would buy her the world."

"Well, I can't buy you the world, but I can buy you lunch." He said as he gave the waiter his credit card. I argued with him for a minute, but then he just dragged me out of the restaurant. "So what are you doing now?" Kellin asked.

"I have to get back to work." I said, disappointed.

"Oh, okay. Can I call you?" I nodded.

"Yeah, sure, anytime." I smiled and Kellin gave me a hug goodbye.

"See you later!" I waved as I turned to head back to Hot Topic. I turned the corner and felt my phone vibrate. I took it out and answered the call. "So dinner tomorrow night?"

"Really Kellin?"

"You said anytime!" I giggled.

"Yeah, I'd love to."

"Okay, great. See you then?"

"See you then."

"Okay, bye, for real this time."

"Alright, bye!"
