~ Three Years Later ~

(Your POV)
You had re-learned all your basic skills in just under two years, which is a medical record. And in that time span, you and Edd kept dating. He re-taught you all your skills and stood by you. Tom and Matt supported you too, but they were extremely busy with work and such. They always visited, and that made you happy.

Today Edd is taking you on a special nighttime date. He won't tell you where, that's the surprise, he said. You were excited. Tom listened to you talk on and on about your adrenaline and happiness. Tom seemed to know something you didn't though, and that made you suspicious. He assured you that he didn't know a thing, but he was lying and you could tell.

Tom watched you ramble and pace back and forth about what you would wear, what would happen, and other components that would contribute to the special date. He smiled and listened to you the whole time.

Tom knew you so well, he decided to get Matt in on this and help you pick out a nice dress. It was F/C, and went just past the knees. You acquired a unique F/C headband that Matilda had given to you when you went to the parallel universe through that mirror. She said it was your color.

You wore white socks and black flats. Matt recommended them to you, saying they would match. They did, surprisingly. Note-to-self: always go to Matt for fashion advice.

It was the summertime, so the night would be pretty warm. Edd said that he hoped it would be the best night of your life.

(Edd's POV)
"But what if-" I started. Tom cut me off.

"Don't even start. I know she will." He repeats.

"But-" I tried to speak again.

"Edward Gold. She'll love it. She will definitely think of it as the best time of her life." He looks me straight in the eye. "She loves you."

I sighed. "I really hope you're right. Who am I kidding? You're right all the time! I'm such a worrier."

"Hey, being worried is good sometimes. But try not to worry too much." Tom flashed me a quick smile. "And I got your back."

"Heh, thanks Tom." I smiled back.

"Now I'll help ya' dress up. Matt is helping Y/N as we speak. When is the date again?" He asked.

"Six o'clock." I responded.

"Okay. It's five-five thirty right now. We got some time." He replied.

"Don't you mean...we have some TOM!" I made a pun.

"This is not the time Edd!" He shouts, mask anger in his tone.

He helped me pick out a nice black suit and a F/FL for it, because it is Y/N's favorite flower. Tom gave me F/S hand sanitizer, he said Y/N likes the scent so just use it. Matt came back from helping Y/N so he could help me with my hair. He brushed it, even though I told him that I was an adult and could do it myself. After all that, it was almost six o'clock, five fifty to be exact. Matt went back over to Y/N's apartment to help her get completely ready. I took a deep breath.

"By the way Edd." Tom started. I looked back at him. "Take my word for it."

I smiled, grabbed some F/FL, and walked out the door to Y/N's apartment. I summoned the most courage I have ever needed in my life and knocked. Matt cracked the door open, and he opened it wider to reveal Y/N in a F/C dress, her hair in F/H, and she had white socks and black flats. She had light make-up on, which I'm assuming took a lot of asking from Matt. She smiled and I handed her the flowers. She thanked me and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"Are you ready?" I asked.

"Ready as I'll ever be." She threw me a daring smile.

(Your POV)
Edd leads you to his car. He opens the door for you and walks over to the driver's side. He gets in the car and starts the vehicle. He drives to a place unknown, but you notice that you arrived at F/R.

"How did you know?" You ask, surprised.

"Tom told me." He responded, smiling. "And also, you said it yourself."

"Oh." You said.

The lock on the door clicked as Edd made the way out accessible. You opened the door, then Edd took your hand and lead you into the restaurant.

You were brought to a table and sat down by a woman whose name was Hannah. You both ordered drinks and started looking at the menu. After you decide what you wanted, Hannah came back. That lady had impeccable timing.

"Can I get you something to eat?" She asked.

"I'll have F/F." You responded.

"I'll have the same as her." Edd answered.

After thirty minutes of waiting and chatting with Edd, Hannah delivered you food. You began to eat, as did Edd.

"So, Edd, will you tell me where we're going now?" You inquired.

"Nope, you'll have to see for yourself!" He teased.

"Hmph!" You playfully pouted.

You and Edd finished your meals and Edd paid. Edd took your hand and you left the restaurant. The sun was beginning to go down. He opened the door to the shotgun seat and you stepped in. He got in on his side of the car and began driving. You noticed that you were nearing a mountain. Edd stopped the vehicle and let you out of the car. After both of you reached the foot of the mountain, Edd covered your eyes.

"Hey!" You said with annoyed laughter in your voice.

"It's part of the surprise, trust me." Edd reassured you.

Edd lead you up the mountain. Or what felt like up. You couldn't really tell, due to the fact that Edd was covering your eyes. Edd finally stopped and uncovered your eyes. The view at the top of the mountain was stunning.

Lush greenery was covering the mountain, awning and filling it with life. Birds sang a song that will never be written, the music making your senses calm. The dying rays of the sun made the lakes on the slant glitter like diamonds. It was beautiful.

"Edd, this is...amazing!" You said, eyes wide.

"Not as amazing as you." He winked, and smiled. "I need you to close your eyes for a minute. No peeking!"

"Again? Okay, fine." You said as you squeezed your eyes shut and covered them with your hands.

(Edd's POV)
I felt in my pocket for the small velvety box. It was there. I took a deep breath in and took it out, then opened it to reveal a ring.

The ring was made of tanzanite, a very rare, dark blue gem that has only been found in one place in the world. I got down on one knee.

"Open your eyes." I said.

She opened her eyes, and when she saw me, she put her hands over her mouth and tears filled her E/C eyes.

"Would you, Y/N, make me that happiest person on Earth and marry me?"
