"Trevor? Trevor, no! Y-you can't-no let me go!" I yelled as the men dragged me into an empty, white room.
"Willow, i-its ok," Trevor said trying to calm me down. It didn't work. I had no reason to trust these guys.
I struggled, trying to break free of the man's grasp. I wasn't about to lose the one person I could trust right now. I was shaking in the men's large hands as he pushed me down into a chair.
I was in a white room with two men, again wearing black suits, but they weren't the same people that brought me here.
My head drowned with thoughts. What did they want? Who were these men? What did the address Noah gave me mean? It sounded familiar, but I couldn't pin where I heard it from. The main thought on my mind was Trevor. What were they doing to him? Would he stick by my side through all of this?
I was snapped out of my trance when a short, stocky man slammed a stack of pictures on the table in front of me. Each photo was very old and that intrigued me.
"Well, I can't look at these if my hands are stuck behind my back," I said with a hint of attitude in my voice. Where was this confidence coming from? Just a minute ago, I was about to cry my eyes out because I was afraid of these guys.
The man looked annoyed as he unlocked the cuffs from my hands. I decided not to say much, considering it didn't seem like they had a lot of patience.
"Those are all from different time periods, and guess who's in every single one of them," the short guy said, ticked off.
"Umm.... sir, I'm a seventeen-year-old girl. I don't know why I have a doppelganger in every one of these," I said, flipping through the photos.
Why was I in all of these photos?
"Don't play dumb, and we know for a fact that that can't be a doppelganger. Now just tell us why you and your friend are in these," he continued.
"Wait, Trevor is in these too? Not possible. We are both just normal kids trying to make it through life. Are you guys saying that we're time travelers or something because I really don't think that's possible," I said rambling a little bit.
"Look, if you don't tell us what's going on, we'll have to do it the hard way," he said.
"I swear, I don't know why someone that looks just like me is in these," I said.
"These photos were taken right before a very important and deadly event. We just need to know who you are," the man said, this time with a little sympathy in his voice.
How were Trevor and I in pictures from all these different time periods?
I didn't answer as I stared down at one photo that caught my eye. Suddenly a scene flashed in my mind. It was of me and Trevor with other people I didn't recognize. The scene that flooded my head was of what I was seeing. I was in the back of a driving truck. It was old and the men were all wearing things on their heads. It was what Jews wore if I remember right. I could feel the fear and adrenalin rush back. I was a Jew being sent off to a concentration camp.
After it ended I decided to act like it didn't happen. I didn't quite trust these people.
The man noticed that I was staring at the picture and explained what happened after it was taken. I pretended to listen, but I already knew the whole story.
"Look, I'm sorry, but I can't help you guys. I don't know anything about this" I lied and they seemed to believe me.
They escorted me to another empty room with two beds in it. I was so relieved to see Trevor already sitting on the floor.
"Thank God you're ok," he exclaimed, running up to me. He swallowed me in a tight hug and we stood there in each other's arms for a good two minutes.
Which, might I add, is something I never thought would happen. He smelt like... like soft vanilla. Somehow he still made it seem manly.
"Time travel?" He asked as we sat on the floor.
"Ya, and....." I trailed off, not sure if should tell him.
"And what?" He asked curiously.
"Well... I uh.... had a vision. Almost like a memory," I said as he stared at me, jaw to the floor.
He stared intensely as I explained it to him. Ugh! Why does he have to look so cute?
"Well, I don't know about you, but I don't trust these people, " he said breaking the silence.
"Me neither. I don't know how, but we are getting out of here," I told him confidently.
